  Went for Christmas lunch with my sister's. On arrival booking hadn't been recorded, but luckily a table was available. Drinks a bit pricey, but this is a Greene King pub so no surprise. Staff on duty when we arrived a bit off, maybe it was our fault they messed up the booking, it seemed like it!!
  However, food was top notch! The lamb shoulder cooked to perfection, all other meals 100%. Also staff that came in later much more friendly. Would have got 5 stars except for the initial attitude.

  Staff were actually pretty attentive but it was fairly quiet as it was a weeknight at 4.30ish - (we have had previous visits where it hasn't been so great). The food is generally good quality, I just think certain things are really expensive for what you get. We ordered 2 apple juices for our kids and they were £3.10 each, which just seems a lot for a small bottle of apple juice.

  Good food after a long walk. The roast was huge, with plenty of vegetables and nicely cooked roast potatoes. Desserts were the highlight and tasted beautiful

  Great food and atmosphere, shoulder of lamb falling off the bone. Steak a bit rare for my wife but it was very genuinely dealt with. Brilliant staff and not over priced. Definitely 5 stars. Thank you.
