“Being honest, I was passing through and stopped because I needed the loo and the nearby garage woudn't let me use theirs. I bought a coffee (to be polite) but then looked around and this place is simply a little oasis of peace, beautiful design and simply outrageously polite service. The young man at the till bought my coffee to me and was just so darned pleasant I wondered if I'd slipped into an alternate universe. The biggest chain coffee shops in the world could learn a lot by copying this little place. Gushing?? Absolutely - but this tiny corner of the coffee world sparkles like a polished diamond.”

“Morrisons cafe OK. Staff helpful and polite but always busy. Quiet at certain times of the day but when it's busy you can wait a while for your food. Always having to ask for things as not always stocked up. Like milk or cutlery. Food always cooked nice.”

“This branch of Shell is rather small with reasonable prices but there is a Deli2Go facility to get some food goods other than just fridge food. This is a typical petrol garage with no restroom facilities and located in a decent town area. ”

“Coffee shop of the area if you are after coffee There is a good selection of tea's available as well as a well made espresso style coffees. My favourite is the flat white. A number of cold drinks as well. On the counter is a range of cakes and small thing to eat. There is a small food menu with soup, paninis, ploughman's and eggs cooked in a number of ways. If you like there is porridge and toast in the morning. Nice little bright shop on the High Street. Looks like there is a private room just off the side. Plus there are little kids books in there as well”

“Very nice, lovely setting, good food, clean, seating area inside comfy chairs and umbrellas outside. Friendly staff. Beautiful flowers and water feature. They do light lunch and lovely cream teas. Don't get caught out they close at 4.30pm earlier than adjacent garden centre next door. The Dene is very relaxing. Will certainly visit again.”
