  Went for a work meal out at the cat Inn. It is a charming pub. The food was good and service efficient and friendly. Parking is a bit tricky as it is popular. Was dark but west hoathly looks like a sweet village. If you don't know the area, a satnav is helpful as the roads are often small.

  Fabulous, friendly and welcoming pub with lovely food. We stayed on a Sunday night - assuming when we booked they didn't do food on a Sunday evening like most pubs but they contacted us and asked if we required a table reservation. Considering how many other people were eating there when we arrived we were grateful they had contacted us and the food was delicious. Good choice of beers and wine, nice comfortable bedroom to sleep it off in and a fabulous breakfast to follow in the morning. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and really looked after us. We will be back when next down this way!

  Without doubt the best Sunday roast I have eaten in the last 5 years. Superb service as always, excellent surroundings with very good table configurations. 5 well deserved stars for making our day. Absolutely faultless.

  Fantastic food and even better service. The Cat Inn is the best place in the area for high end food.
  It is in a pub so you do lack the intimacy or specialness of a posh hotel. But the service is impeccable and the food exceptional so in my opinion it makes up for it.
  You’re never waiting long for service or your next course....Well worth a visit.

  Halfway through a countryside walk yesterday (Saturday), we decided to pop in to The Cat for a light lunch. They were fully booked and busy, but were most accommodating and found us a table in the bar by the fire.
  
  What a fantastic pub! Superb menu and wine list with many quality local wines. The food was of very high quality and delicious. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Cosy atmosphere in a traditional countryside pub.
  
  Thanks to all at The Cat. We will return.
