Annamarie Stepney Photography - Sussex Wedding Photographer

From our first Facetime call to our final Whatsapp chats, Annamarie was a complete delight to work with and had never-ending enthusiasm and genuine affection for our wedding and for us as a couple. Neither of us were especially looking forward to having our photos taken and so it was important to us that we had a photographer who understood the very relaxed approach to our day with as little formality as possible, which Annamarie did 100%. She made it clear from the beginning that her approach would be to snap the natural happy moments of the day, rather than focusing too much on formal shots where everyone looks awkward!
The pre-wed photoshoot that we had with Annamarie was SO useful in helping us to feel more relaxed with her and with having our photo taken. The shots she took that day are some of our favourite photos of us ever! We both felt completely sure after the pre-wed shoot that Annamarie understood us and was able to capture lovely moments without us even knowing she was doing it.
Annamarie was extremely organised and talking through the plan of the day with her a month or so before the wedding was invaluable in helping us to think about logistics we hadn’t even considered! Having said this, she maintained her sense of fun and relaxed approach so that we didn’t freak out ????
Annamarie did such a great job of managing the time and our guests on the day. She was friendly and funny but wasn’t afraid to playfully boss people into action to get the job done! We had so many compliments about what a lovely presence she was throughout. The photos from our wedding really are amazing and tell such a happy story of a very happy day! Annamarie managed to get some candid photos of our friends and family that are so true to the characters of the people we love, and she really captured how silly and fun everything was (as we had planned!) The sneak peek selection of photos that Annamarie sent us on the day we headed off on our minimoon was SUCH a lovely surprise. She also made the most beautiful slideshow of photos that told the story of the day, which we have watched a hundred times!
We were expecting to receive just a USB of photos in the post, but the package Annamarie sent was beautiful and yet another incredible surprise! The amount of care and attention that Annamarie puts in to her work and gives her couples is truly brilliant and we are so grateful for what a delight she has been throughout the process. From the moment we first went on Annamarie’s website we instinctively knew she was perfect by her portfolio of pictures. This was reinforced when we felt completely at ease in her company at our first meeting chatting away and eating her delicious cake! Annamarie’s style of photography is such that all of her shots are in-the-moment. As a result of this we got to see real emotions and moments throughout our day that she had captured without anything being forced.
