  Escape is amazing! I love Evelyn! I always leave her feeling like a jellyfish, completely boneless. All my work/stress/scoliosis aches and pains disappear! Everyone is so nice and professional. They go the extra mile to be coronavirus safe. Never a bad experience. Will always return!

  I booked a couples massage for my boyfriend and I, and this place did not disappoint! They took the time to discuss our individual needs and concerns before the massage and went above and beyond to deliver an excellent experience! We both felt totally at ease. Reiko and Kristin were great! The level of professionalism this place offers is amazing. You can tell they truly care about the well being of their clients. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

  So, if you live in Homewood, I’m sure you’ve passed through Edgewood, where on the corner of Oxmoor Rd and Broadway, you’ll see that Grey building with the cute door on the corner that is Escape Day Spa.
  As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted with one of two Front Desk Coordinators. The smell is beautiful, clean, and refreshing. The lights are dimmed and candles are lit everywhere. Over the surround sound speakers is a faint and calming sweet sound of waves crashing, like at the Beach.
  
  I arrived to the offer of a beverage, (they have water, cucumber water, coffee, tea, white or red wine, and champagne & even Mimosas!)
  
  Before my appointment, I was invited to wait in the tea room, which feels like an amazing dimly lit relaxation room, which immediately felt like an Escape from the Hustle and Bustle of the traffic I just got out of!
  
  I booked the 60 minute Relaxation Massage with Iluh Nita, (Nita) and really wasn’t sure what to expect, because I had never had a real physical therapist Massage.
  
  Nita greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel very comfortable! She brought me to an even more dimly light small room, (only candle lit-so nice) and we talked about any place I felt extra tension, and explained that I could communicate with her if the pressure was too hard, or if at any time I wasn’t totally loving it.
  She then gave me a minute to get undressed and under the sheet on the table- which didn’t feel like a table, more like a bed.
  The table had a warmer under it, and I’m always hot- so she removed that for me to make me the most comfortable.
  
  She showed me how to rest my face in a round cradle (like you always see in movies) and I took a couple deep breathes before she began. Nita surprised me with an amazing firm touch and moved my back muscles all around- (not sure how, because I was in nirvana- but I could literally feel all the tension in my back release, and drift away! (Ahhhhh)
  
  She also used a Cream that felt amazing! She used Hot Towels, that felt so awesome- and also not only relaxed my back, but my arms, hands, legs, feet, head, shoulders, it really was an amazing treat that reaffirmed my choice to indulge in some self-care.
  
  I almost fell asleep, and let me tell you, One hour never felt so well spent!
  After my session, Nita greeted me with a cup of water and reminded me to hydrate, (so nice someone besides my mother was telling me to drink water!)
  
  Everyone at Escape Day Spa was so nice, polite, positive, helpful and informative!
  You can really feel that these physical therapists know what they are doing!
  My experience at Escape Day Spa was refreshing and I didn’t want to leave! I was invited to relax in the tea room, even after my massage, which was very welcoming.
  
  Book in advance because this place is the place to Escape!
