“I called to ask the company about re-covering the bench seat/fold-out bed in my horse trailer’s camper in early September. I let them know I was camping soon and asked if it could be done by October 1st. They told me it would “probably” be done but couldn’t promise, which is fair enough. I left the sofa with them about 9/7. They said they would call for a credit card number for materials when it was time to complete the project, and gave me a quote. In early October I still hadn’t heard from them to even get a card for the materials, so I called. No return call. Finally, the next week, I was called by Scott to get my credit card. The price was higher than the original quote, which he said was because materials had gone up. By now, the cost to re-cover the sofa was going to be greater than just buying a brand new one from the manufacturer. However, I was assured the materials would be far superior so I agreed. The next week Scott called to say it was already finished because “they found some leftover material from a previous job.” If that was the case, why was I still charged more for the materials? By this point, it had been six weeks so I didn’t say anything. It simply wasn’t worth it. The people there are nice enough but the price increase seemed unwarranted. Sadly, on the camping trip I wanted the cushions redone for, I was in a major accident on my horse and sustained a broken leg. I was camping by myself, and after driving myself to and from the ER with a broken leg and no more than aspirin for the pain (I was driving), I had to pull myself up backwards onto the upper camper bed in horrible pain. Honestly not sure how I did it, except I was exhausted and couldn’t stand the thought of sleeping on the hard floor. It would have been a game-changer if the sofa had been done by the “maybe” date and I could have slept on it instead. All that to say, if you’re in a hurry, I’d look for someone else even though the sofa looks fine.”

“Needco Saves the Day: We finally decided to remodel our 30-year-old kitchen and began by asking friends, and researching the internet for a qualified local contractor. We met with several and selected the one that we felt most comfortable with. In the following weeks, we created a design, chose the colors, the materials, and the vendors we would use. The day finally came to start the project and the contractor showed up to tear out the old kitchen cabinets and tops. It was then that we knew we had made a terrible mistake. The damage to the kitchen was horrible and all the result of careless workmanship. I placed a call to the GC that evening asking what steps would be taken to repair the damage. She flipped out and sounded quite inebriated. I recommended that we take the night to cool off and talk again in the morning. Ten minutes later she sent a text saying she was walking off the job. There we were, no kitchen, no contractor, and we would have to start the entire process all over again. I mentioned this to a friend and he said, “Call David Harrison at Needco and forget about it”. So, I did. And I am so glad I did. David met with me and my wife the very next day at our home and got the ball rolling. The following day he invited us to his showroom in Homewood to review his modified design, select a new door style and colors, and to meet his team. Chrissy was awesome. Needco’s design was far superior than our previous one and his team removed all of our concerns. Now that the job is complete, I can tell you that the project happened exactly as he promised, and within the timeframe that he said it would. My wife and I could not be happier, we absolutely love our new Needco kitchen and we cannot say enough about David, Chrissy, Doug, Scott, and the whole behind the scenes team at Needco. My friend was right. “Call David Harrison at Needco and forget about it”. The man took care of everything and everyone. Oh, and did I mention, he did all of this within our modest budget.”

Otherwise, they are regularly out of some things, move things often, and the most annoying thing is they totally stop carrying some items. I also find the lack of choices extremely irritating; lots of items give you a choice of Walmart's brand...or Walmart's brand. Duh! I want choices, but I guess if they did carry another brand, they would mark the price up so much that one would still be financially forced to purchase their brand.”
