This place is a great place to learn about the Alaskan Native Peoples. Unfortunately some of the exhibits are closed because of the virus. They do have an short outdoor walking trail that features many different native dwelling structures and a complete whale bone skeleton. It is definitely worth the visit.
Entertaining and educational. Loved learning about the native Alaskans.
Great place to visit and learn from, native dances, and tour was incredible. Guided tour was by 15 years old students and they did really well. Thanks for having center open.
Definately worth checking out. I appreciate anyone sharing their culture for all to enjoy. Alaskan native artwork is amazing and inspiring. I also really enjoyed the dancing and singing... thanks guys!!
This is not a museum, it's a wonderful place to interact with people sharing their cultures. The young fellows explaining and demonstrating games of the different indigenous cultures of Alaska weren't just good at the games, they were funny and engaging about the social and personal purposes of the games. The tour of the various homes built on site was particularly interesting and imaginative. The different homes contain artifacts that you can handle, like polar bear skins, and show how people adapted to different climates. All of the staff were particularly outgoing and knowledgeable.
