  The opportunity this program brings to Alaskan's is irreplaceable.I have completed one semester thus far in the UAA/ISU College of Pharmacy program here in Anchorage, Alaska. I am very pleased with my academic experience and the motivation of the faculty and staff to see their students succeed. I would highly encourage students who are considering pharmacy or any occupation in the medical field to consider this college.
  
  I first heard about the program through Dr. Wadsworth, the program's dean, who spoke briefly about it to my Biochemistry II class in my last semester. Upon researching more about the program and pharmacy in general, I asked to take a tour where I was shown the audio-visual-distance-learning classrooms, lounge, kitchen, and case studies room. I strongly suggest asking for a tour as they are more than obliged to do so.
  
  There is adequate resources to supplement studying - the college provides many things financially from giving us access to Lexicomp and Facts and Comparisons to paying for our APhA memberships as students. I am sure it comes out of tuition, but them managing it is very helpful. There is much physical space to study including our OWN class rooms (each class has their own year round) and a case studies room both having large white boards and technology for presentations, etc. The kitchen and lounge space is a big plus. I feel like my potential as a student is valued and motivation to be a confident pharmacist is supported!

  Do you want to become a pharmacist? The UAA/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy Program is growing! Have a look at the excellent use of technology for distance education. The staff and students are very polite, so don't be afraid to ask questions.

  The UAA/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy Program provides excellent pharmacy education and opportunities for students to get involved in our community! I have been honored to be a UAA/ISU PharmD student and thankful that I can stay in Alaska and begin the practice of helping Alaskans from the start of my education. The seamless fusion of technology and faculty involvement ensures I feel supported in every facet of my education.

  This is a great program that is looking to empower Alaskan students with the tools they need to become the next generation of Alaskan pharmacists! The opportunities and doors opened by being apart of this program are boundless. The flexibility and effort put forth by the faculty and staff allow for a more individualized learning experience. I am proud to say I am UAA/ISU Pharm.D student and I strongly encourage anyone interested in pharmacy or healthcare to check this program out.
