Denali OBGYN Clinic: Natalia Saprykina, MD

Dr. Saprykina did my procedure over 14 years ago. I remember her bedside manners. I was comfortably resting, as with any surgery complications can arise and in my case there were some. She was conversating with one of the ICU nurses on the right side of the bed. Her genuine care and concern assured me she did all she could. With my eyes still closed, I was grateful for her and the medical team, likewise I told her I’d be okay and just needed to rest. My expected 3 day stay turned in to a longer stay. I fully recovered, and was able to train and deploy with my unit without complications. Nonetheless if I had to do it over again today I would want Dr. Saprykina to do my procedure.

Dr. Saprykina is amazing and an incredibly talented surgeon. She really listens and has a great bedside manner but most importantly, she is truly gifted and navigated a difficult procedure for me with skill and precision. It is truly a rare combination to find someone to both hear you and heal you, especially in the gynecological realm. While I had heard amazing things about her from those who relied upon her to deliver their children, she was equally phenomenal when faced with a procedure post-childbirth and general health maintenance. The Denali practice has fantastic professionals, doctors, and staff, including the their gynecologists, nursing staff, and their ultrasound technician. I am so grateful to be in their adept and talented care.

She is the best doctor I have ever had. She is very thorough in her exams and takes the time to make me feel comfortable. I like that she explains everything clearly without over complicating things. When she delivered my baby it was an amazing experience!!! I felt like she was my own personal cheerleader. It really helped me find more energy in myself to push. She is the only doctor I have ever had that has ever hugged me too. It's crazy how something as simple as a hug can make a difference, but it does. I was always so nervous leading up to delivery. She will be my doctor until she retires!!! I also love that I never have to sit in the room waiting long for her. She's very considerate of her patient's time. Awesome doctor!

I gave her TWO chances. For the first appointment she was over 45 minutes late. She gave us some excuse about her kids. I was annoyed, but then let it go. However, during the appointment she treated me like I was just another patient and had this been there done that attitude. Her attitude was not very reassuring to me that she was taking her time to read my medical history. I want to know my doctor actually cares about me. Her head was clearly in the clouds that day. However, I decided to give her a second chance a month later (stupid me). I was told she was a good doctor. My husband and I arrive to our appointment and then once checked in to our room we were told that the doctor was going to be over an hour late. Dr. Elam called right as she was suppose to see us. Most people know they are going to be late before they are late. She did not have the common decency to even let us know ahead of time. My husband and I took time out of our work to make our appointment. Time is money! Thankfully we are not hurting financially, but what about the people who are? We were forced to reschedule later that day with her as that was all that was available. When we saw her she gave us some other excuse about her car. She was so nonchalant about her tardiness. It was infuriating. If I were late, I would have apologized profusely. I will NEVER see this doctor again. She did not show an ounce of care. Very disappointing as I gave her two chances. Unfortunately, during my labor she was the doctor on call for one of the days. When she came in my room she introduced herself to me. Why introduce herself? She saw me twice!!! She should have read my file to know that! I was very put off when she reached out to shake my hand. I get it, she's sees a lot of patients, but take the time to read the file. At least pretend like you remember me!!!

The front desk is always welcoming and professional. I love that I don't have to say my name to get checked in. They say "Lisa we got you checked in" as I walk in the door....As if they remember me!! They are always super helpful and patient whenever I have questions. I truly believe they go the extra mile to make me feel special too. Great team!
