“Great Service! Great Experience! I read the reviews for all the U-Haul business in Anchorage and many of them are negative. I'm happy to say that my experience was positive, so here are ( 5 TIPS ) to help make your experience positive too! 1. Call 2-3 days prior to renting. Some of the rentals require a 24 hour notice. I called twice after 5PM, on hold twice for over 20 minutes, and I had to hang-up twice. Call earlier in the day to reach a U-Haul employee. 2. Look at the dimensions of the U-Haul rental online. If you rent a (6x12) Cargo Trailer you'll need to know the door opening is (4'10"x5') if you plan to load something large. 3. Rentals have a return time, so make sure you know when to return the rental! I rented a 12' utility trailer at 8AM and I was told to return it by 2PM. 4. You can't rent from one U-Haul location and return it at another without asking permission. The Traffic Manager must allow the return to another U-Haul location. 5. Returning the U-Haul rental to another U-Haul location IS NOT FREE! I rented a 12' utility trailer for $44.95 and the cost to drop off at another location would've been another $44.95. The pricing they gave me was consistent with the quotes I received from other local movers. The movers arrived at the expected time, they had a positive and friendly demeanor, they completed the work much faster than I would have thought possible (my new home is 3 stories with almost all the furnitureon the top floor), and they were very careful with my belongings and residences. “I stored my vehicle here for about 5 months. The car had a new bumper dent from what looked like a tow hitch. I promptly drove the car right back and spoke to one of the owners about it. Reviewed the car turn in sheet to validate it wasn't already on the car and since it wasn't the owners arranged for me to get it fixed with a great shop across town. It was a little bit of an inconvenience since I was without my vehicle for a few days but I am still impressed they owned up to it right away and took care of it for me as hassle free as possible. Would recommend and use them again if I needed. Honest business owners who care about their reputation and having happy customers.”
