I LOVED the many displays and touchable info. They were very specific to the park nature. Reading them before hiking helped make the hike better. A pleasant surprise was finish our hike just time for a wild food presentation. Thanjs!!!
Beautiful!!! We walked the Rodak Nature Trail…stunning views; easy walk…be prepared for mosquitoes!
Incredible views and a pristine environment. This place is like straight out of a NatGeo nature documentary.
We went on a Sunday so the visitor center was closed but the nature area and hikes are still open to the visitors.
You can drive up to the visitor center, hike here and continue down towards Chugach State Park.
These areas are remote and frequented by bears 🐻 and mooses 🫎 so be careful and vigilant while on the trails.
Enjoyed the short nature trails and magnificent scenery at this nature center. We visited in early June on a pretty Sunday evening. Trails were very easy to negotiate- not muddy. Didn’t see any significant wildlife but did see a brown bear and her young one along the road less than a mile or so when leaving the area.
This place is beautiful. It's an easy small trail hike around that is family friendly. I do say that lightly as there are bears and other wild life around so do be prepared for any unannounced visitors. But other than that it's a really scenic place perfect to get away and enjoy nature. The trail is free just pay for parking which is 5 dollars for a regular car. Do be sure to being a pen to write on the envelope.
