  We had our wedding weekend at Summit Lake and it was wonderful. Very homey and cozy, the staff were really friendly and Lyndsey was tremendously helpful in the lead up to the event. She was so accommodating to our many last-minute requests over the weekend. She and her team anticipated needs (like getting matching clear umbrellas for our ceremony just in case--she was watching the forecast!) Food was great and the beds were very comfortable. Beautiful lake, and would definitely recommend going for a paddle on the lake, especially if the weather is nice!

  Beautiful lodge hidden amongst the lake and the mountains! Definitely worth a visit! We stayed for 2 nights in this lodge an hour away from Anchorage. They provide free breakfast and housekeeping. Sufficient amenities, water in your Keurig, refrigerator and microwave included. The cabins are well spacious and showers run hot even with 4 guests. Service was amazing. Loved their food and hospitality!!

  We stopped in for lunch. Salmon was wonderful and the chef even popped out to make sure the gluten-free option was to my friend’s liking. Table service was excellent. She was from out of state. They’re lucky to have her. After 30 years up here, I’m used to average-at-best table service. Great experience!

  This is a fabulous place to stay! It is conveniently located for seeing so many of the sites on the Kenai peninsula. The location of the lodge is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are super friendly and helpful! The amenities are also top notch and the complimentary breakfast is the best I have ever had in all the places I have ever traveled! The cabins are very roomy and nicely stocked and the beds are super comfortable. I give Summit Lake Lodge my highest recommendation!

  Such a great place in a picturesque location on Lake Summit. The staff was helpful and friendly. We chose a historical room, which is very small but clean and comfortable and all we needed. The breakfast is included and is delicious. We enjoyed sitting next to the lake and taking in the view. The lodge has canoes and kayaks that the guests can use on the lake.

39 reviews of Summit Lake Lodge "(Seasonal, only open during summer) Located at mile 45.5 on the Seward highway just north of Moose Pass, the Summit Lake Lodge is situated perfectly as a rest stop for a trip between Anchorage and Seward. I have stopped here many times after a day of fishing in Seward or on the Kenai. The food is surprisingly good for the remote location of the lodge.
