“We rented a 4x4 sprinter for an anniversary trip down to Homer. Pick up and Orientation were easy and thorough, and I was impressed with how well outfitted the van was for camping. We basically brought some clothes, a jacket and a bit of food, and off we went. My wife and I lived out of a pick up truck for 4 years and a 15 passenger van for 2, and the Sprinter was an amazing living space compared to those. The open, clean, simple layout, plenty of storage for your toys and seating for us and our son made the trip a great one. Our son keeps asking when we'll go camping in the sprinter again!”

“This small park is one of my favorite to photograph ducks and geese in the spring and fall. Tons of them show up here as they travel onto wherever they go when it's not spring and fall. When the birds are not in however it's still a nice park with a short trail that loops through the woods. There are 2 or 3 different boardwalk you can use to stop and view the marshland.”

“When you reach Dana's place, you get a warm greeting from Dana. The fire place is on in the living room. You get to relax with freshly baked cookies and tea, coffee or hot chocolate. The bedroom is beautifully appointed with headboards painted by Dana. The room we stayed in had two queen beds and two full closets with attached bathroom with a bathtub. Dana is good resource for recommendations for good dining in the area and outdoor activities. When you leave, you are asked to leave a hand print on her wall and sign it. It was a great overnight stay. If we make it back to Alaska, we will be back.”
