Desert Foothills Family Medicine- Dr. Jessica Blanco

I've been seeing Dr. Blanco for years. She's a "no fuss", "in your face doctor." Her frank conversations about my health has really compelled me to make some lifestyle changes to lower my numbers (A1C, BP). As a 50++ Black American female, it has been a struggle, but it's paid off. I've been so pleased with the care, that I've referred friends to her office. Great staff also!

I started seeing Dr. Blanco a year ago January after my long time doctor retired. I got really lucky when I picked Dr. Blanco from my BCBS provider list. Dr. Blanco doesn't pull any punches. She tells it like it is, but you know that her concern is your health and well being. She is an authentic, kind and caring doctor and I have confidence and trust in her decisions. Not only is Dr.Blanco an incredible doctor, her staff is equally as good. They are always professional, accomodating and kind. I recommend Dr. Blanco and her staff without hesitation. You will be well taken care of whether it is routine or more serious health concerns.

I have been a patient of Dr. Blanco’s for approximately 7 years and she has successfully treated me for everything from depression to annual women’s health appointments, and I won’t go anywhere else for my general health.

She’s up front and direct, but genuinely concerned about her patients well being. If you’re not a person that can handle an assertive and to-the-point physician, then she may not be for you. I’ve never experienced her to be rude or inappropriate,.

She will absolutely answer any and all questions you have if you take the time to ask and she’ll research answers if she’s unsure.

The tests she orders have been warranted and the office always contacts me if something is amiss with the results.

Refilling prescriptions is as simple as calling the office and they’re typically e-scribed in the same day as long the refill is necessary.

Her medical assistant has been the same woman the entire time I’ve been a patient and the front office staff has had very little turnover over the years. That speaks volumes about the practice.

I can’t speak to the bad reviews, but in my experience I’ve had nothing but success with this practice.

Love her. I read the reviews saying she's in and out so quickly, in my experience that is only if you are there for routine stuff and have no issues to discuss. Otherwise she will give you all the time you need. I've been seeing her for 15 years and just transferred my two teenage daughters to her care.
