New Direction Fertility Centers

I normally don't write reviews. After reading a poor review about this office, I feel that I need to share my experience, which was always positive. My interaction with Dr Amols was nothing short of professional and pleasant. I don't believe for a second that Dr Amols would ever call out or shame anyone for a failed cycle. Our family is forever thankful for Dr Amols and his staff. They have given us the most precious gift of all, the gift of "LIFE." They are the reason why my angel Sophia is here today to enrich our lives with her smile, laughter, joy, and most of all, Love.
Dr Amols is a compassionate and loving person who truly love his profession. It shows through his interactions. It took me multiple tries to have Sophia. Dr. Amols personally called to check on me through all the hard times. He assured me that it was not my fault and that it would be better next time.
The office staff are very friendlly, responsive, and, accommodating to my schedule. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Please don't let one poor review dissuade you from giving him a chance to give you what you want most! Best of luck to all that are trying!

I cannot even put into words how truly grateful I am for Nee Directions. I struggled with infertility for two years. I was referred to New Directions by my Obgyn. I worked with Dr. Derman on my IUI journey, he was by far the greatest doctor I have ever worked with. He was patient, understanding and he explained every little thing he could. He answered all of my annoying questions and took time to understand my frustration and emotions. After two rounds of IUI I was blessed with my miracle baby!

I highly recommend this clinic!! Words can not express how grateful I am for Dr. Amols and his staff!! This fertility journey is hard, but from start to finish my husband and I felt like we were in good hands Dr. Amols. The entire staff is empathetic, caring and responsive.

We did one retrieval and one transfer and it worked!! Currently prego :) Can’t wait to be back in a few years for baby #2.

Dr. Amols and his staff are by the most amazing humans I have ever met in a doctors office. I always felt so welcome, cared for, and they always had an answer for my many questions. I would recommend them to anyone searching for Fertility Treatments even if they live out of state. Great prices for those whos insurance won't cover it, thankfully my insurance is amazing and most of it was covered. You guys are the best and I look forward to coming back in the future! :)

2018 Review:

Pros.
- Less expensive IVF packages (with and w/out PGS). Rates visible on website.
- Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, incredibly hardworking, and responsive.
- Doctor is attentive to IVF schedules/appointments to maximize success of IVF cycles.
- IVF cycle appointments on weekends/holidays as needed to monitor progress.
- Clinic location is easily accessible via 202. The offices are clean as well as comfortable.
- Minimal if any in-office wait time. I'm almost always called back within 10 minutes.
- The specialty pharmacy (Integrity Rx) they work with is inexpensive, friendly, and local.
- Higher than national average success rates.
- Work with local and out-of-state patients as their schedule allows (we're out-of-state).
- Free parking garage (I've lived in cities where you must valet/pay for parking everywhere).
- Word-of-mouth praise from friends who were patients plus positive reviews on various sites.

Cons.
- New patient appointments may be scheduled out months in advance due to how busy the clinic is so call ASAP. Busyness results from good business.
- Expect scheduling complications if you're out-of-state. Things happen and it impacts you more because you have to schedule your trips and find out-of-area doctors to perform services.

2020 Update:

Just finished my 2nd FET and am now pregnant with our 2nd & 3rd child. I wanted to address comments I've heard from potential patients who've spoken with more recent patients.

1. Dr. Amols isn't as accessible anymore:
It's true Dr. Amols hired help (check FB for an explanation) but that doesn't mean he isn't the one guiding your fertility journey. Having someone do ultrasounds means he sees more patients keeping costs down. The priority is that you get pregnant. It doesn't matter if additional people help you accomplish that.

2. Dr. Amols may not recognize you or remember your name:
Many people struggle to remember faces/names and Dr. Amols sees a ridiculous number of people. If this offends you, evaluate your perspective. You want a doctor who's in, out and don't have to see until you want that next baby. If he knew me well, that means he's seeing me often and I'm not getting pregnant which would be bad news for me.

3. Communication isn't very responsive:
I've heard this regarding becoming a new patient and it's because they want to hit the ground running even though it takes time. Get your paperwork done, set your appointment, etc. it all goes by MUCH quicker than you think it will and why would you rush something so important?

***When frustrated in the process I remind myself that I'm on lots of hormonal drugs and in the end I get results which is all that matters. I chose Dr. Amols due to his low cost, high success rates, and because I'm originally from AZ so I can stay with family when I'm in town.
