I hired Alyssa as my birth Doula & photographer after having worked with her in a professional setting. I knew she had to be a part of the team to welcome my baby Earth side after I had the pleasure of experiencing her professionalism & supportive/radiant energy. Her unwavering support, empowering encouragement, intuitive insights, & down to earth, genuine personality, really shined through while I was in labor. Even my husband was grateful we hired her. He said "she always made it feel like we were friends. Never made it awkward. She made it comfortable." I never once felt like she took over or took the place of my partner. She supported him & my daughter who was present, alongside the support she gave me. But I never even knew when she stepped back to take pictures or to help them. Sometimes all I needed was to hear her words of validation & encouragement while my husband supported me physically. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again & I recommend EVERYONE to her. She is a real gem?

After the birth of my baby I invested in our postpartum Doula, Marlene. At first, I was nervous about hiring Marlene "late" into my postpartum period. My baby was about 8 weeks old when we started care with her. But I am so glad I did! It became apparent very quickly that she was a wonderful asset to our household. She is a Jill of all trades! She helped with laundry & food prep. She held my baby when I needed a shower, a nap, a moment, or some time to spend with my other children. She wore him in her ring sling & either spent her time helping around the house, keeping him happy or both. My baby loved her too. She has such a kind & loving spirit about her. She is easy to to talk to & trustworthy. My only regret is not hiring her sooner! Postpartum is such a vulnerable, exhausting, & raw experience. Having a knowledgeable, supportive, professional, & gentle, "gatekeeper " to help you through the transition is such a blessing! I wish postpartum Doulas were more utilized in today's society.

Don't think twice, hire this team. They're all phenomenal & give top notch care.

As a new Mom in the middle of a pandemic with zero family around, I have to say that Marlène was an absolute LIFESAVER in aiding me with caring for our new baby.

The best thing I did for my postpartum health and wellness was to reach out to her. She helped me feel confident and showed me tips and tricks to get our tough baby to enjoy bottle feeding and naps (among other things) so much more!

I will forever be grateful to her for really helping us get off on the right foot during a difficult period with our baby. I didn't call her until he was seven weeks old, and I realized it's never too late to ask for PP help.

Twins! That word wasn’t as scary with the help from Cherry Blossom’s, more specifically Jennifer. Jennifer was our night doula for the first 6 weeks after our sweet girls were born. We couldn’t have found someone more caring, loving, kind and patient. She is extremely knowledgeable with newborns and was a great confidant in the first months back from the hospital. Highly highly highly recommend!! We absolutely love Jennifer and can’t say enough good things about her. Rest assured your babies would be loved and cared for on the nights you need a little extra sleep. :)

Bringing my baby girl into this world would have been drastically different without Melissa, I am SO thankful that we decided on her as our doula! I tell her that I couldn't have done it without her, and she's right, I could have, but I am SO glad I didn't have to! Both me and my husband are eternally grateful to have had her share this experience with us! We were first timers and she was there to not only guide me but guide my husband as well. From the very beginning she provided us with evidence based articles to help with any questions I had. She also blew me away by capturing the purest moments of our birth story that I will cherish for the rest of my life! I highly recommend Melissa and I look forward to having her at my future births!

Alyssa is the best doula you will find! She has been my doula for all three of my children's births, and I can't imagine not having her there for each one, due to the amazing level of support, love, and care she gave for each one. She gives her all and puts 100% of her heart into her work. It's not just a job for her, but a passion and calling to give mothers the best birth experience possible. Giving birth is such a vulnerable time in our lives, and being well cared for at this time, contributes hugely to the wellness and well-being of not only the mothers but also all of the children in our community, by giving mom's this gift of starting out so well cared for, and this is something Alyssa does so well.

My first birth ended up being an unplanned c-section, even though I started out at a birth center, and planned on giving birth naturally, things just did not turn out that way. Having Alyssa by my side through all of the twists and turns, turned what could have been a very traumatic experience into one I remember with joy, and the miracle of witnessing the birth of my first son. She turned out to be an invaluable resource of knowledge, recommending the best midwives when I needed to transfer care, and gave me the support and encouragement I needed to be able to make the best decisions for our family, when the hospital was falsely telling me I didn't have any choices. She was by my side, giving constant support and counter pressure in what turned out to be a very long trial-of-labor. And when we needed finally to have the c-section, she helped ease our nerves, and instead helped us to be excited that we were soon to meet our sweet baby! Taking some fun pictures before the surgery and amazing pictures of his first minutes of birth and some sweet snuggles afterwards in recovery.

My second son, was born at a birth center, and was the beautiful VBAC water birth of my dreams. Even though I was scared at first, and unsure if I would be able to do it or not, Alyssa gave me confidence that my body knew what it was doing, and stayed by my side with each contraction, offering massage, counter pressure, pouring water on my back in the tub, offering sips of water, aromatherapy, and constantly reassuring me that each contraction was bringing me closer to meeting my sweet baby. She is so good at keeping moms informed as well of each change that is happening, and the progress that is being made, which is so encouraging to hear, while in labor!

My daughter was born in the same birth center, and was my second VBAC, also born in the water. Although I came into this pregnancy with much more confidence of a successful VBAC, I didn't even hesitate calling Alyssa, because I knew she was such a big part of my success! With my baby girl, I labored at home overnight, and she met me at the birth center in the morning. I was so happy to see her! It was like meeting an old friend, and right away, she was again by my side, supporting and encouraging, giving my husband a break when needed, and taking the most beautiful birth photos, all at the same time!

Alyssa was and is a huge blessing to me, in the birth of my three children, as I know she is to all of her clients. I'm so thankful for her, and hope you are lucky enough to have her by your side, during this sweet time in your life, of pregnancy and birth.
