Prior to going to Arizona Ketamine Specialists- I had traveled 45 minutes to a different location. AKS is hands down an amazing change and experience. Dr V and the staff are professional, sincere, caring, informative and are with you every step of the way. Excellent communication and so close to my home. Dr. V and AKS has been a life saver for me. I can without a doubt attest to the one on one attention and care that they provide. My friends and family have noticed the change ...but most importantly I have. And you can’t put a price on feeling alive again.

I am an RSD patient, having received ketamine infusions for this condition since 2013.
Patients need to understand there is a difference in infusions based on the doctor administering them.
I am beyond grateful to Dr Vanlierop and his staff for the excellent care I’ve been given here!
After only 4 infusions, I am back in remission! No one should have to suffer with RSD pain:(

TL;DR: This really works, if you are on the fence about it, don’t be. The staff is amazing and will guide you through this process. This changed my life and hopefully it will change yours as well.

Now for the review: Today is my last treatment out of 6 (2 a week), but I felt my symptoms significantly improved after my first treatment but am incredibly happy that I chose to do the 6 treatments. I had researched Ketamine treatments for a while, but I was skeptical and thought it was honestly, a bit weird. I had tried meditation, different antidepressants and anxiety medications as well as extensive therapy and DBT treatments. None have worked for me.

I was able to make my initial contact by text which I thought was a huge blessing, in fact, I have never had to call (for those of you who might have anxiety issues). Responses were quick and every question I had was answered in amazing time. The staff here is so nice, caring, and understanding. I have never felt uncomfortable here.

Things that have been fixed in my life due to this treatment:
- The burning in the chest anxiety feeling, (like if you are speeding and a cop pulls behind you with the lights on) which I have had for much of my adult life.
- Any feelings of major depression that I have had are gone.
- I tend to be a lot less short with people and can think things out before I would normally let my emptions get in the way.
- I feel like I get a full nights rested sleep. I used to nap every day at work on my lunch break and at home during the pandemic, now even if I get a small amount of sleep, I still feel rested.
- If I wake up in the middle of the night I can go right back to sleep. Before my treatment I would toss and turn thinking about literally anything, even things that happened years ago that I could not change.
- I am more patient and I feel like a lot of my ADD symptoms seem to be close to gone. I can concentrate again and finally keep my focus enough to read and do house chores, which previously used to be near impossible.
- I got to a point where I was smoking cannabis and getting drunk, every day. Since I have started the treatment, I no longer feel the need to drink daily and just keep it to once or twice during the weekends. I have only smoked twice since treatment started and do not even feel like I need to do it anymore.

If any of these things seem like something that you have gone through, please give this a shot. I cannot say enough how much it has changed my life for the better.

Hopefully, you don't need this kind of treatment... but, if you do, look no further. Dr. V, Leah, and the nursing staff are amazing. I walked in there desperate and feeling like I was out of options. Today, I feel hopeful and ready to sieze the day. If you're reading this: good luck and feel comfort you are making the right decision.
