  My husband and I have ordered takeout here so often that it has become a staple in our weekly routine!! We love Ike’s for so many reasons. I am vegetarian and my husband isn’t, and there is truly nothing better than a food joint with solid options for us both. We can’t get enough of the Dutch crunch bread and dirty sauce, it’s better than anything you’ll get at another sandwich shop! My choice 99% of the time is the meatless mike sandwich, and my husband is a huge fan of the Marilyn Monroe. You won’t be disappointed eating here!! The quality, taste, and number of options are simply unmatched. Thank you to the people who work here and have kept our favorite place open during so much social turmoil, you are so appreciated!!!

  We’ve been to Ike’s twice now, and have had stellar experiences both times. The first time, a super-enthusiastic employee, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, helped us through the extensive menu, gave us sample tastes of their signature sauces, and was generally a delight. I love when people obviously love where they work; it’s refreshing. Our party was divided -- 3 vegetarians, 2 omnivores -- and both groups, for once, had a *huge* list of choices, and the non-veggie options can mostly be made vegetarian, and sometimes vegan. We veggie-peeps normally have, like, two options. Ike’s gave us an overwhelming but delicious dilemma. Over two visits we tried Purple B's Veggie CA-BLT, Lynda Carter, the Blind Date, the Bud Bundy, the Steve Jobs, and the Gramps; the omnivores had the Frankenstein, Count of Monte Chase-O (their take on a Monte Cristo) and the Damon Bruce. All of us chose their signature Dutch crunch bread, which is SO GOOD. *HIGHLY* recommended. We all mostly liked our sandwiches, although the Frankenstein was not super well-appreciated. All but one of us ordered our sandwiches with no alterations, and it was clear the recipes had been well-thought-out: the balance of flavors and textures was fantastic; the ingredient combinations are inspired and interesting; and they were all the sort of sandwiches you keep eating long after you’re full, because the flavors are amazing. Their sides are pretty good, too, although the fries are spicy -- slightly too spicy for me, but everyone else enjoyed them. The onion rings have a light batter coating, as do the mozzarella sticks. Our mozzarella sticks were colder than we liked, but we’d gotten that order to go and didn’t get to try them at their peak of temperature. I’ll review again when we can eat them immediately. This is definitely a place we’ll be returning to, as the menu is huge and requires further exploration. Very very highly recommended.

  If you have never eaten a sandwich here before than YOU ARE MISSING OUT. This is the third location we have eaten at and although it was our least favorite it’s still great. I asked for extra sauce, didn’t get it, and was really skimped on the meat. For first timers they may think it’s the norm but not me, I’ll prob be telling people Cheeba Hut is just as good cuz of this experience
