“We were stuck in a predicament while traveling to our new home state and it was extremely distressing to say the least. Long story short, we needed a hotel quickly and when I called Candlewood Suites in Buda, Rossie quickly took care of our needs over the phone. Not only was she professional, she was sympathetic and really helped to alleviate the stress I was under. When we arrived, we found the room extremely clean and spacious. The water pressure is great and you can do laundry at their facilities, which is a God-send when you’re traveling with a toddler and pets. Thank you so much to Rossie for helping my family feel at home. She is a true testament to the fact that one nice person can really change your entire day/outlook.”

“I just signed my second 12 month lease and have read the reviews and would like to add my observations. One, we did get hit with ants in June/July but with the pandemic I just bought ant spray, both liquid and sprayed both outside door frames that fixed it, but am still paying $3 a month for pest control. A bigger issue are the add-ons per month ($13 for valet garbage whether you use it or not) and $3 for package drop off service (which I use all the time) plus $3 parking, plus water, sewer for me it adds up to nearly $100 a month and $1450/month in reality is $1550. My biggest complaint is the front gate. All of us are getting 10x the deliveries we used to, and there is no code for the gate. You have to take your fob in but only one phone can be attached to it, it is such a pain many residents have no code and PATIENT delivery people just follow someone in, but if we are going to allow that, then just leave the gate open in the day time, MesaPD is our next door neighbor. OR send us all a gate code. We have one for the package pickup. Besides that, I really like the apartment-- it's big and sunny. I am on first floor and I never hear my neighbors through the walls (outside you can hear). I work online very early in the morning and have asked neighbors if they can hear me talking at 3 am, and they say no, so I don't think the noise complaints are valid. I attached a photo of a first floor patio (smoking area for me).”

“So I have to give a big shout out to the Manager Derek. I came in for an oil change appointment at 7a, I waited in the lobby. Shortly after my truck was on the lift, Derek comes in after 15 minutes or so and calls me out to the bay. He shows me some fluid that’s seeping from above, then explains that the fluid is the lubricant for the A/C condenser. He must’ve seen my body posture hang a little lower and quickly informed me that I was a lucky guy. I still had 500 or so miles left on my warranty, and not to worry that the part and labor was covered. Phew, right! Better yet, he was confident they could complete the job within the day. I get a ride home and get a call around 2:15p that they were wrapping up and would send for a pickup around 3p. Derek also explains some other findings that were addressed and also covered by the warranty. When I get there I receive my keys, go over the summary, and even got information on an extended warranty. I gotta say, I was lucky that day and fortunate. Thank you Derek and team for addressing the issues early, doing a great job, and saving me serious money.”

“My dad was placed at Emeritus Nov 2012 after touring several facilities. We were treated like family every visit we went to see him--offered coffee or drinks while he ate lunch. David, the facility maintenance and all around "make it right" guy became Phil's special buddy. Sandy, the unit coordinator, was awesome as was Melissa whom Phil trusted with his personal care. Too many people to mention who cared for him but you know who you are. The facility was clean and homelike down to the pictures on the wall and the cupcakes or cake in the entry room. Residents are treated like family and never neglected. Despite the drive to see Phil, the facility was chosen, not because it was close to us, but because it was the right place for him. When he passed in March 2013, the staff was as caring to his widow as they would be to family. I would definitely recommend Emeritus (East Mesa or another location) as your care home for your loved one.”

The one star off is because even though the owner recognizes us, the service is good, but not great. I've gotten more than one eye roll and exasperated sigh. Love that they give out hot bread to the table. I would give it 4.5 if I could.”
