Sonoran Science Academy Peoria K-8

i went to this school since i was in 2nd grade. im now a junior in highschool, and i miss it everyday. Its like a big family and the people are great. Had the best 7 years!

(I apologize for the unflattering former review that was here before. I did not actually write that. I saw notifications that people were finding it helpful, so I'm swapping it out for my actual thoughts. I am very sorry if it put anyone off.)

Our child went here for several years, but we moved out of range to be able to keep taking them. We enjoyed the time we had there, the teachers are hard working, and they have several programs of interest for the students. There were frustrations, sure, but those were addressed as they occurred. Being a student is hard, but so is being a teacher.

As a parent, you want assurance that your child is going to enjoy their time at school. It has a big focus on math and sciences, but the teachers do tend to get swapped around from one grade level to another which can frustrate older students. (Being taught like 3rd graders in 8th grade) There's a lot demanded of these teachers, and communication is key to making sure that your child's needs are met. I would've liked to see a few more things taken seriously, like certain teachers not making a scene in class about children being children. Micromanaging kids is frustrating, which is where we had issue with 1-2 teachers. As I said, those situations were addressed when they occurred.

No issues with their other teachers, they are awesome. Please forgive the other review that was here before. It was not accurate of what my opinion is of this school.

I went to this school from 2nd to 8th grade I am now graduated and this school is truly amazing not sure which admin still works there but we have all made many many memories we were close with all the teachers had a really good relationship with them all I would most definitely send my kid to this school for the amazing memories,fun, and teachers

This school is great. The principal knows all the kids by name and the parents by face. They are very supportive of the kids and families. I have experienced teachers from kinder to 5th grade and they all have been amazing. We tired other schools but stayed here because of the education our children receive, the school is multi cultural and a healthy environment
