“I went for a mammogram yesterday at Peoria Plaza and was surprised to see a 3-D mammography machine. The tech, Valerie, was very nice and explained how it works to get a more accurate picture of the breast tissue, thereby detecting abnormalities that might be missed on 2-D images. Since I used to work with 3-D computer modeling through my job, I was familiar with the concept and thrilled that this was now available. What I really appreciated was that those sticky tabs with the BB on it to locate the nipples were no longer required. For me, they were always so painful to remove. Overall, it was a quicker, less painful visit than my previous screenings. Everyone there was thorough & polite starting from the person I spoke with to make the appointment, the check-in desk and Valerie, the tech. I had a very good experience and will continue to go to this facility.”
