My wife accidentally left her purse there yesterday. The folks at Gadzooks were kind enough to hold it overnight so I was able to retrieve it this morning. Thanks everyone.
Not from Phoenix but I will definitely be back! The menu seems a little daunting at first, but the employees will help explain! I highly recommend their award-winning festival taco if you're unsure of what you want. The food is fresh (they make tortillas in front of you!!) and delicious. The meat is expertly cooked and the salads are hearty. Definitely a new instant favorite.
Always a must visit in Phoenix!! A few different locations and all the same great food. Fresh, tasty, awesome concept!! Enchiladas made to order and toss in a gas oven to melt the cheese to perfection. Other options besides enchiladas, tortilla soup is great too!! Quick, fresh, amazing!
I’m giving this 4 stars because every time I go I get a different experience and the last one wasn’t as great. Food is delicious, concept is great. Paying in the middle of your order is weird. My sister and I went, it was her first time, and they were super pushy for us to check out before the end when she had never been there. There was no line so rushing seemed uncalled for and they didn’t explain the process so she rushed her order and wish she new the overall concept of toppings at the end before checking out. Seems like some staff is super knowledgeable about everything and want to help. Others seem like that hate their job and aren’t very helpful. Also, the 2 out of 3 times I have been their forks were dirty in the bin. Overall I’d give this place a 4 because they need a bit of improvement on staff / cleanliness, and I love their soup! I recommend mixing the two soup options. ;)
Gadzooks has the best enchiladas I have had. The meats like the shredded chicken, beef short rib, shredded pork are very high quality and tasty. They also have a couple potato options that can be chosen instead of a meat. The potato options are really good as well and provide a nice change.
They have many options to build your enchiladas with. For example multiple salsas like habanero or something less spicy are available. They have a couple cheeses that are put on before placing in the oven that get melted perfectly. I highly recommend trying Gadzooks!
