We were heading to Hawaii today. My husband had stomach pain. Stopped by This urgent care and he was diagnosed with appendicitis. I am writing this from the hospital where my
Husband just came out of surgery for his perforated appendix. If it wasn’t for this urgent care we would’ve got on that plane and he probably wouldn’t had made it. The doctor there told me when I had asked how sure she was, that she was certain he needed an ambulance to take him. The look of certainty in her eyes is what saved my hubby today because cancelling my trip to Hawaii when we had already checked in was the last thing I ever imagined happen on Christmas Day. I can’t thanks this urgent care enough! And I really hope that the people that have made
The decision to close it down, can reconsider. Today it saved a life.
I had a layover to Austin for a couple of hours and I had been running a lowgrade fever with bad neck cramps and body aches for the past week but at the airport it finally skyrocketed up to 103! I decided to go to the USCareWays urgent care clinic in the Phoenix airport to see if I was going to be able to get care and make my flight or if I needed to go to the ER right then and there. I just had to fill out a few symptom and release forms and within a few minutes they called me in and I they took my blood pressure and temperature, confirming that I was not doing great at all.
Then Paul the Nurse Practitioner came in and I filled him in on on the symptoms and everything else I could think of. He was very thorough, polite, and informed, and didn't mind answering all of my questions. He made sure that I was either ready to fly or needed to go to the ER. He ran a ton of tests to narrow down what it could be and was eventually confident that it was some sort it bacterial infection. After a good response to multiple high concentrate IV bags of antibiotics and a good dose of acetaminophen and motrin, he said I should be good to make my flight but to keep taking the meds and go to the ER if my temperature gets that high again.
After a couple days, he called me to make sure I'm doing alright and I thanked him for checking in and that while my neck is still having issues my temperature has kept low.
Paul and his two assistants were some of the best care I've ever received and I can't recommend them enough. They take your pain seriously and are thorough in figuring out what is going on. They also have a great bedside manner and not only allowed me to call my mother, but also talked to her directly to fill her in since me trying to transcribe everything they told me wasn't going to be perfectly communicated. I'm glad I played it safe and stopped by the clinic where it's obvious the team really actually cares about you and your health.

After realizing my license was lost I was a frantic mess trying to get my temporary pass printed, in an airport with no printers. Finding Ms. Roberson at USCareways, I was so grateful for her help, and above and beyond helpful attitude. Thank you again!!
Took my daughter to USCareWays for her school sports physical. I called earlier in the day to ask questions and the receptionist was very helpful over the phone. As a "walk in" later in the day.. We were quickly seen and done within the hour. Everyone we encountered was friendly and provided great customer service.
