  DaShawn Artis was and continues to be a gift from God at a time in my life when I needed someone to first listen, and then gently guide me through an array of emotions and frustrations when I did not feel capable to positively guide myself. He is a compassionate, authentic soul who challenged me to reframe my thinking and how I view the world around me. Deshawn accepts who I am and meets me where I am without judgement or condemnation enabling me to share freely without fear which results in creating a safe environment for growth, reflection and adjustment.

  Melissa Gray is my hero. Here is the story:
  
  I have been on my mental health journey since February 2020. I have Kaiser and they did nothing to help me. In the last year and a half, I saw 4 different counselors, and finally started seeing a psychiatrist in April 2021 (through Kaiser, not Thriveworks). He prescribed me 2 medications that made my symptoms even worse, and he could only see me every 3 months because they were SO booked.
  
  Fed up, I finally made the call to Thriveworks. I saw Melissa Gray in July (she got me in within 24 HOURS!). I was so impressed by her thoughfulness and her willingness to educate me on my symptoms and treatment options. More than that, she made herself available if I needed anything in between appointments. Wow - a provider that is genuinely caring, a great communicator, AND available? What a gem!!
  
  Now hear me: I was NOT in a position to pay out-of-pocket for my initial eval. I'm here to tell you IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. It's now August, and since my first appointment with Melissa and getting the medication I needed, I feel the best I've felt in years. I truly didn't realize how sick I was until Melissa's care got me feeling better and on the right track.
  
  Now, my therapy sessions at Thriveworks are WAY more effective, and every area of my life is improving (work, relationships, self, etc.) I cannot begin to thank Thriveworks, and specifically Melissa Gray, enough for getting to know me, being available, and showing they really care.
  
  If you are struggling like I was, make an appointment at Woodstock. You can find help here, and you can feel better soon. Trust me.

  MHNP Melissa Gray is AMAZING. I am a mental health clinician myself so I am always skeptical when finding practitioners that meet my standards in this field. Ms. Gray EXCEEDED my expectations on our very first telemedicine appointment. She not only made me feel comfortable with her active listening during the initial intake and evaluation, but asked very poignant questions to tailor the treatment specific to my individual needs. She came up with the perfect individualized treatment plan for me and has continued to follow up to make sure that plan is working so she can tweak it as soon as possible if needed. She didn't rush me or push the first name brand medication on me just because it is the most prescribed one. She talked me through her process and we came up with an individualized plan together, which I haven't felt has been done with other's in this field. I really feel like I have someone that understands my needs and is by my side with my medication management.

  I am so grateful for Thriveworks. Like many, the pandemic took a toll on my mental health and caused a lot of unresolved issues from my early life to surface. Having tried regular talk therapy in the past without good results, I wanted to try a different approach. Through some research I discovered EMDR and wanted to give it a try, which led me to find David Hopkins at Thriveworks. He is not only kind, patient, and very easy to talk to, but he truly enjoys what he does. I just completed my 5th session of EMDR with David and my life has completely changed. Things that have weighed on me and traumatized me for 30+ years just dissipate with each session. Although, I am no where near 'healed' I am so grateful for the work we have been able to accomplish thus far! If you're thinking about an alternative approach to therapy, I highly recommend David Hopkins at Thriveworks, he is awesome.

  Therapy is something everybody needs, they just don't realize they need it. Coming here for the last 4 weeks has changed my life for the better. I can't stress enough how easy it is to make an appointment and get in. Lots of therapist want huge amounts of money up front and you have to wait 3 weeks or more for an appointment and, given the circumstances, waiting that long is not always an option. The on-site therapist are incredibly nice and even the call center staff are just as caring and empathetic.
  
  Please, do yourself a favor see these people. You will only become a better person for it.
