You know that feeling when your friend invites you to dinner at their grandma's house, and all you can think about is how incredible her cooking is? That's the kind of food this place serves up, and it' SO blissful.
This was my first time there, I was impressed with the operation and customer service. Friendly atmosphere, u ordered two burritos, a vegetarian and beef. I was really good and authentic. I don’t think I can say I have had a better burrito.
The food was AMAZING!!! Growing up in a border city close to Chihuahua, these flavors hit so close to home! I haven't been able to find food like this out here in Phoenix since everything is usually Sonoran or Sinaloan. The price is on point too, especially for their vegan options! When family visits this will be the first spot I take them to!
Oh and the customer service was great too! They were so nice and helpful. Someone in my party had a food allergy and I love the fact that they didn't make us feel like a burden for asking about their menu.
1000% love and 1000% will be back!
By far one of the best spots in Downtown Phoenix! From the moment you walk in you are met with great smelling food as well as the culture from Chihuahua. Prices are great, food is made fresh in-house and they even have VEGAN options which is great for anyone who is living a vegan lifestyle. While I waited Jennifer (the cashier) who took my order explained the artwork in the restaurant as well as the differences between the different cultures all throughout Mexico. This would be a great option to bring a family for dinner or to grab a quick bite and just relax. It reminds me so much of my aunts house which is what I love.
The food was fantastic. I wandered in long after midnight just looking for something to keep me going, and I was blown away. I started out with two burritos and then got a third just because from my first bite I wanted to try everything on the menu. The tortillas were fresh and the fillings were hearty.
Prices are very reasonable. One burrito would make a great snack or modest lunch, and they only cost between $3 and $4.50. If you are hungrier you can get two burritos along with a soda and still come in under $10.
Testal serves the kind of food that nourishes the soul. Believe the hype.
