Amazing Mobile Music Instruction

I couldn’t be happier to recommend Benjamin with Amazing Mobile Music! My 8-year-old son has had weekly guitar lessons for 8 weeks, and already has a solid foundation in music theory. Benjamin is patient and compassionate, but also sets his expectations high. A couple weeks ago, my son was going through a rough patch. He does have attention issues, and was refusing to play what he was supposed to for about a week. Naturally, when Benjamin came to our house for the next lesson, he could tell my son had not practiced what he was supposed to. Benjamin called him out on it, making him accountable for his actions (or lack thereof). He patiently but sternly guided my son into making the realization that he was struggling because he didn’t do what he was supposed to. It was a tough lesson and hard to watch as a parent, but absolutely necessary. Over the next week, my son was self-motivated to play every single day, usually more than once a day, and had an amazing lesson the following week. What Benjamin teaches is honestly so much more than music, or an instrument. He has the unique ability to capitalize on individual strengths, and has taught my son that with persistence and hard work, he can achieve his goals. His confidence in himself in all areas of his life is absolutely soaring, and I know Benjamin’s approach and mentorship has a lot to do with that. We couldn’t be happier with Amazing Mobile Music, and it has truly been one of the best decisions we have made for our son!

Ben is great! His knowledge and patience is really important for a slow learner such as myself. The trips he takes to my home each week ensures we never miss a lesson. I'm very grateful to have Ben as my instructor and appreciative of the progress I'm making with his guidance. If you're passionate about getting better, I highly recommend giving Ben a shot.

My 11 year old son has been taking ukulele lessons from Benjamin for several months now. I cannot say enough great things about Benjamin as a music instructor AND as a kind and compassionate human being.

Not only has my son progressed drastically in his ability to play songs on the ukulele, but his understanding of music and the retention of that education is impressive. Benjamin makes sure to teach from a perspective of combining rhythmic abilities with music theory language. All of this in order for him to learn and retain an understanding and love for music, in general, for years to come. My son loves his lessons with Benjamin, and he loves even more being able to play the ukulele with confidence, as well as read music and understand music theory. Ben is an excellent music teacher. Our 8- and 12-year-old really enjoy learning guitar and piano with him. Ben has a flexible and relaxed style and he weaves in theory in a way our kids enjoy. Ben’s teaching method is a great combination of flexibility and rigor. Highly recommended!

Ben is a wonderful human being with an extreme amount of patients, and vast knowledge of musical instruments. He by far, surpasses others in the industry! He has been so gracious with our two boys in their music endeavors. Not only does he provide mobile services (which, let’s be honest ~ music lessons wouldn’t happen in our crazy schedules without this luxurious service) he has knowledge about nearly every instrument. He approaches every lesson in a precise manner insuring foundations, such as music theory and form are JUST as important as the music being made. We’d recommend him a thousand times over. We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful, talented, caring individual teach our children the beautiful gift of music.
