PHOENIX - The Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) announced today that it will be adjusting programming at the Maricopa Reentry Center (MRC). Going forward, MRC will continue accepting released offenders participating in the Intensive Treatment with Housing (ITH) and Sanctions programs.
The new Maricopa Reentry Center opened a few weeks ago near Interstate 17 and Happy Valley Road. The MRC is a transitional facility for released prison inmates. ADC has promised to set up a series of community meetings to better inform neighbors about what the re-entry center does.

A new program at the Maricopa Reentry Center is giving former prisoners a second chance. He was given two options: go back to prison, or enroll in this program at the Maricopa Reentry Center. Determined to never go back to prison, Barnes chose the latter.
