Wow! Just wow! What an amazing, professional and fun experience. I’m elated I found a musical soul that teaches me academically and helps me grow my instrument. I booked a package before I left my first session

I started seeing Lindsey about 8 months ago when I decided I wanted to intelligently improve my singing voice. I was terrified at first, having never sang in front of other people, as most people usually are. Eight months later, I can functionally play guitar, am confident singing in front of others, and have begun writing my own songs.

We worked bi-weekly, following a balance of my curiosities, interests, and song choices, alongside her structured lessons on vocals, skill development and music theory. She also hosts a student gathering every month or so, where we all get together to practice performing in a supportive environment, and I found it was essential to my growth.

Lindsey is so knowledgeable, open, and endlessly supportive of your musical journey. I feel so grateful to have worked with her, and know that I could reach out at anytime in the future and have a friend and teacher in her.

    Thank you, Lindsey!!! ❤️

After well over 10 years of pursuing music production as a hobby – from minoring in audio engineering in undergrad, to taking taught and self-taught piano and guitar lessons, being an active member of the Audio Engineering Society, entering remix competitions, and creating hundreds of my own instrumental songs – I decided I wanted to learn to sing and write lyrics to my songs. This seemed like the biggest hurdle or roadblock to me.

I found Lindsey Bair via a Google Maps search and she had good reviews, not a huge amount of reviews compared to some other vocal coaching places in town, but all positive ones. So, I inquired online and she asked a few basic questions about me and my background to get an idea of what my goals were or should be.

I went in with the idea that all I wanted to do was learn to sing and write lyrics. So, we focused on singing to start as this is what I was most interested in doing – improving my voice – being a karaoke star. It wasn’t long until she mentioned that I should play an instrument alongside my singing. I was reluctant as I was a novice guitar player and I didn’t have a piano at home, nor did I want to buy one – all I cared about was singing – why did I need to play an instrument too? Eventually, I gave in and started playing the guitar a little with my singing.

I’m not sure what happened, but somewhere along the line maybe after about six months of this guitar and singing, I became a fairly confident and good sounding guitar player and my voice was noticeably improving. It’s been a year, and if you stick with the vocal warm-ups daily, and put in about 20 minutes of singing/instrument work you can make fast progress with Lindsey.

Lindsey understands music so well that she knows exactly where you stand in terms of your musical abilities, then she takes that information and makes you a quality musical performer seemingly overnight. After all, the basis of any song is really chord progressions and a melody with lyrics. The bottom line is she gets you playing an instrument and singing pretty quickly, and this is huge for your confidence.

Every few months she hosts a recital in the backyard at her house downtown Phoenix. Around 10 of her current students show up to perform a song or two. Significant others, family, and friends also join, so it’s usually about a 30-person turnout. There isn’t a single performer at her quarterly recitals that isn’t enjoyable to listen to and you notice the student’s progress at each recital. Also, everyone is there to support each other and help each other improve. Collaborating is also common and encouraged.

I write this review as I get ready to leave Phoenix to head back to the east coast to be closer to my family and all I can say is I wish I could bring Lindsey with me. If you want to get on the road to becoming a quality musician or singer, this is the right place to start. Go every week, you’ll be happy you did after a year.

I’m a working musician as a drummer looking to contribute more vocals to my band. Lindsey has a learning structure I can understand. Great environment for learning. And She adapts to my personal goals. I feel and sound stronger every session. Could not be more pleased!

I have taken voice lessons from Lindsey for several years and it's amazing how much I've learned and how much better my singing is. I feel so much more confident and sound so much better. Taking lessons with her is fun and joyful. She is one of those people you meet who has a great heart, knows a lot, and shares her knowledge generously. I've met many of her students over the years and she relates well to people of all ages. Do yourself or your child a great favor and go meet her and take lessons from her - it will improve your singing, your musical ability, and add joy to your life!
