  I remember back in the day how sketchy this park was. I feel like it's safer now. I don't know if it's an illusion or if it really is genuinely improved. I definitely feel more comfortable being at this park than I did 20 years ago. Perhaps the addition of the library helped, maybe it's the upgrading of the facilities or perhaps it's the residents in the area. I feel like their is more pride and concern from the visitors to the park. They actually want a clean, nice, safe, family friendly environment so they/we are all working together to keep it that way. I just love seeing the community take pride and ownership in the public spaces we share. Keep it up Phoenix and Laveen. We can have all the nice, safe, family friendly spaces as long as we all put forth the effort to clean up after ourselves and keep a neighborly eye on the kids and animals in and around the park. Let's help keep each other safe.

  This park has always been here since I was a kid the lake and the fishing. I just don't know why the bathroom doors are either off or broken. The playground is decent. Bring bread if you're into feeding the ducks. Decent park, just be aware of your surroundings.

  Most beautiful park ever!! Such a nice area. So many animals to watch and the trail is about a mile long. There’s some good shady spots for when it gets too hot. My dog loves walking around the park with me. I’ve seen turtles, baby turtles, ducks, baby ducks, geese baby geese and a goose egg ????!! There is also a dog park very close by. If you end up coming to this park, please pick the trash/plastic out of the water (if you can!) I spent a lot of time pulling plastic out and it makes me sad for the wildlife

  Beautiful park kids enjoy coming here.Went to the library and got library cards for the kids and rented some books. Made me feel like I was a kid again. Everyone should get a public library card. You can rent DVDs, books, use their computer and games. Keep you and your children minds sharp especially in the summer.

  I love this park and all the upgrades they've done to it.. I have been going to this park since early 90s and have seen it expand to the beautiful park it is today. I now take my kids for walks just like my father did with me. it has something for everyone. From playground, fishing, walking and running trail, skateboarding, dog park area, baseball tennis courts, basketball and even handball no reservations required unless specified. They even have a Zumba group out there.
