  Had emergency detached retina surgery much to my surprise after just going for a routine eye exam. I was referred to Dr. Daniel Churgin to confirm if I had a detached retina sure enough and within 48 hours Dr. Churgin completed my surgery. Dr Churgin and his staff are so professional and made the whole process painless. I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Churgin! Thank you Dr. Churgin for saving my vision!

  I am 20 years old with Diabetic Retinopathy and cataracts. When I first came into the office about a year ago I was nervous, and did not want to go through with laser or injection treatments. Dr. Churgin eased my nerves, explained everything thoroughly and I now see him monthly! I don't know where I would be right now without Dr. Churgin, he truly is an amazing doctor! A coworker of mine recommended I see Dr. Churgin, and I would recommend him as well.

  I arrived at Phoenix Retina without a clue of what to expect. I'm so so happy I chose to go there, the staff was awesome and Dr. Danesh is the absolute best.

  Dr. Danesh has given me my vision back. A few years ago I had retina tears in both eyes when I first came to see him. He repaired both eyes, in the course of two days, in his office. Subsequently, I developed macular holes in both eyes which were accompanied by annoying floaters. The Doctor repaired both eyes again and the floaters are gone. My vision is the best it has been in many years.

  I am 63 and developed a macular hole in my left eye. This causes distortion and blurriness in the central vision and it is disabling for that eye....can't read with it and do the things you do every day. I was referred to Dr. Danesh by my usual opthamologist since I needed retina surgery for this. The procedure is done out-patient, and though scarey, was not bad at all. (Look up vitrectomy). After the surgery, before I went home, the assisting tech (who has 25 years experience assisting all types of eye surgery), quietly told me that she sees many retina surgeons do surgery at that opthalmic surgicenter, and that if she were going to have the surgery herself, she would only want Dr. Danesh to perform it. She said he is the best of the best. Made me feel very happy I went to him for my surgery! It went very well and I am now 10 weeks post-op with a good result, and the macular hole closed. He has another office west of Loop 101, off Thunderbird on the edge of Sun City, which is where I had all my office appts. The surgery itself is done at one of several out patient surgicenters across the valley that specialize in eye surgery. Another nice thing, was that many retina surgeons these days are moving past the old practice of requiring the patient to do some time in a face-down posture for some period of time after macular hole surgery. He did not require me to do any face-down time at all and that was a huge relief. His fee is also surprisingly reasonable.
