Very peaceful. Beautiful place to reflect/meditate.
Canaan was peaceful and inspiring. Highly recommend.
This is a quiet place of solitude and sanctuary in the desert. Nestled in the Paradise Valley foothills, these grounds are maintained by a small mission of Swedish nuns. Paths are arranged for taking time for inner reflection and peace. Very little of the natural desert has been disturbed in this place, and animals can often be seen intimately as they rush about with their daily chores. A fresh water spring fountain is there to reward your inner/outer journey with perhaps the most wonderful currency of the desert: a drink of cool water. I have come here often for white space, inspiration, and to enjoy the blooming seasons of this desert labyrinth. The paths depict the turning points in the life of Jesus of Nazareth as a tool for meditation and reflections. Nothing is being sold here. This place is true holy ground, for everyone of any background, deed, and belief.
Peaceful garden with self-guided tour of religious statuary. So serene and calming. Benches to sit and reflect plus a lovely fountain, cactus, rabbits, birds etc.
Highly recommended but only for the faithful. Not recommended for small children as it should remain quiet. Beautiful experience with very lovely Sisters.
