I cannot fully express the gratitude I feel towards the staff at Genesis Addiction Recovery. They have made it possible for me to become the person I was meant to be. I was shown that I did not have to stay on the path of destruction that I had been on for so long. My first day in the program was life altering to say the least. I went into my first group sure that it would be just like every other group or meeting I had been to and I was just going to "fake it to make it" as I had done in the past but Valerie saw to it that that didn't happen. She not only sat in on the groups but she actively participated and shared some of her own struggles and experiences and even if they weren't exactly like mine it helped me to see that I wasn't the only one with issues. I was able to relate to her on a way I had not been able to relate to many people in my life and because of her I chose to stay and complete the entire program and now I am sober and healthy for the first time in a long time and it feels amazing. Thank you for showing me how to be me again.
