About Seniors

I was recently put into a position where I had to find care for my mother in less than a week. There are so many companies out there that take advantage of people in an emergency situation and try to pressure them into making decisions when they are just looking for information to make an informed decision. I have to say that out of all of the placement companies I called and people I spoke with, Christina from About Seniors Eldercare Placement Consultants was the most empathetic, professional and helpful. She asked questions that led me to believe that she was on the same page as I was in terms of making the best decision for someone I loved. Her kindness was so welcome and needed at pretty difficult time. Situations like this should be met with care and compassion, and that was my experience with this company.

This is the second time I’ve used About Seniors. I first called them two years ago for my mother. My mother was diagnosed with dementia and my father was the main caregiver. We got to a point where our family could not handle the level of care that my mom was needing and my father was not able to provide 24 hour care for her as well. We met with Christina prior to looking at some facilities. Not only did she talk to us about different assisted living options but also educated us on how to deal with certain behaviors that came with my mom’s dementia diagnosis. We were amazed how much we learned in just an hour, Christina is was very knowledgeable.

BILL took me and my wife to visit several communities, we ended up choosing a wonderful memory care community. My mother has since passed away but now my father is showing early signs of dementia.

Because of Christina‘s knowledge, I contacted her for some support. She suggested I attend Alzheimer’s support groups for caregivers. Without support of other people, I would never be able to be a functioning caregiver and son to my father. These support groups have saved my life!!

I used About Seniors to help me find a place for my 91 year old aunt with dementia. I was at wits end trying to care for my aunt. They were so helpful. I was shown several group homes. I was very happy with the one I chose. About Seniors was with me every step of the way. I could not have asked for more. I highly recommend About Seniors.
