Let me just say that first off this school is not for everyone. It demands hard work from students and if you have not previously attended a charter school you might find the rules to be much more strict and that the teachers require your best effort. On that note I have attended ALA for 4 years now and find it to be the best school I have ever attended. You will find a very clean campus where students are challenged every day to be there best. The language is clean and I have never been confronted with any drugs or alcohol of any sort. There are of course people who do those kinds of activities during their own time but it is not tolerated on campus. Furthermore, there is a strict student dress code that can be frustrating at times. ALA is not like any other school out there. Teachers have always given up their free time and most students will agree that teachers want you to succeed.

Awesome school! My daughter went here for 8th grade and she began to be more organized. I like the patriotism, which is something you do not see much in schools these days. In addition, the whole online approach to checking grades and everything else is great. Some teachers even have some private pages with details for the parents.
