Update: tried it out a few months later, asked for a different staff member, and the service and treatment was amazing, start to finish. I felt pampered and relaxed the entire hour.

Old review: I didn’t have an issue with the spa itself, the products used or the helpfulness of everyone I encountered. What I did have an issue with was the projection of someone else’s ‘beauty’ standards onto me. I received unsolicited advice to look into Botox as well as received questions on if I have been able to find products to help with some of my ‘imperfections’, all while trying to zone out and enjoy a peaceful facial. I didn’t pay money to come here and be judged by someone who thought I should be doing more to try to look 20 years younger, I came here to relax, feel a bit pampered and forget about the stresses of the world for about an hour. Everyone chooses their own way of aging but I do think aging and life experience is beautiful and shouldn’t be looked down upon by others. We should be doing better to lift up other women, not try to make them feel less than.

My husband and I had a fantastic relaxing couples massage yesterday. I had massage therapist, Samantha and my hubby had Polina. It was very relaxing and they were a great team. Samantha worked on my problem areas and it was just wonderful.

Great massage! I always request Gary as I know that I'll be leaving feeling relaxed.

The Spa elected NOT to sell retail (a rather lucrative business) precisely so guests could come and have a relaxing, professional facial without being told or recommended products. The management and investors in this Spa do not believe in Botox or other injectables. This is why the Spa is NOT a medspa. Botox studies have indicated that when you freeze a person's smile lines, you may also freeze emotions and the release of serotonin to the brain.

The Spa believe in freedom of choice that everyone is beautiful, and it is not lines or tightly pulled skin. It is the essence of people that makes them attractive. The twinkle in their eyes, the smile upon their face, the kindness of their every action. The thoughtfulness of their words. Our favorite client Carol who has now passed on, was an inspiration. She described herself as having more wrinkles than a Shar-Pei dog. Then going on to say, "I earned every one of those." That is what the Spa wants for all people. Everyone can own their look and love life and age and wear their confidence with their definition of beautiful.

We certainly would recommend one of our Aestheticians with a similar value in beauty. Marie or Debbie would be a better fit for you should you return.
