  I am currently in rehab stage 14 days. Dr. Firestone and his team are incredible. Everything he said was absolute, his experience and confidence transfers to the patient and his teams confidence. If he is not the best he belongs to the elite joint replacement Dr.s that are, He maintained my pain to not exceed 3-4. Completely manageable. I had DOUBLE knee replacement, was walking within hours of surgery could have left hospital in a day decided to stay two days before release from Honors hospital (great care). In three days I could actually walk without cane or walker. Bad idea, went back to walker, but went to cane after about 7 days I was just using the cane. In 14 days I am using just cane, could walk without it but am not taking any chances. Pain level has always been manageable as long as I follow directions. I was at a stage where I think I would have been in a wheel chair or crutches within a month, could not go to grocery store, walk on uneven ground, I wish I would have done it sooner. Dr. Firestone hand picks his team, from surgery team to the rehab team, all of them reflect his pride and professionalism. Have confidence, I was where you are, with both knees. Dr. Firestone was amazing, it well be as he says, and it was a fraction of what I was stressing about. When just ok is not ok talk to Dr. Firestone, I checked all the methods and Dr.s I could and decided to travel 1,500 miles just for the privilege of having Dr. Firestone and his team for my knee surgery. The big difference, he is a great surgeon, latest methods, puts the art into knee surgery and demands the best from all those associated with him. When future improvements in knee surgery take place he will be in the forefront.. Have peace of mind with Dr. Firestone.

  I have been a registered nurse for more than 50 years and gotten to know many doctors. Dr. Firestone is one of the finest ,most talented and dedicated doctors I have ever met. He replaced my left hip in December 2013. My recovery was flawless and my hip never felt better. About six months ago my other hip began to deteriorate because of osteoarthritis . I scheduled an appointment in March with Dr. Firestone and had the surgery in May. Once again the surgery went smoothly and I am now eight days post op. I saw Dr. Firestone today and he was very pleased with my recovery. And I am very pleased with his care. His office staff are professional and caring. They take the time to make sure that each patient is well cared for and informed both before and after the surgery. I cannot recommend Dr. Firestone and his staff any more highly than I already have. I am eternally grateful for Dr. Firestone and His wonderful staff for their care and concern for me.

  I had a unique issue within my hip and I had let it go so long I could barely walk. I had been told Firestone was the best but given my severe issues I had low expectations. I am writing this review 65 hours after surgery. I’m home and feel remarkable. Everything Dr Firestone said would happen, did happen. He is direct and professional along with being a class leading surgeon.
  Additionally his people are similar- exceptional professionals , very responsive and smart. Remarkable, life changing in less than 72 hours.

  At my initial appointment with Dr Firestone, I immediately knew that I wanted him to perform my hip replacement surgery and an upcoming knee revision surgery. He explained everything that was going on with my body so that I could easily understand what needed to be done and why. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring and professional, making it abundantly clear why he has such a fine reputation. Jeanette, his nurse practitioner, has the same qualities as well, and it is a real pleasure to work with her. His office runs very smoothly and the level of communication I received in preparation for my surgery was unsurpassed by any I had previously experienced with other surgeons. Everything with my surgery and recovery period went great. I was very happy with Honor Health Thompson Peak Hospital where the surgery was performed. After almost 7 weeks, I was given the green light that my healing was complete. My hip is pain free and I am back to doing all of the things I want to do. As for my upcoming knee revision, Dr Firestone prescribed a brace to allow me to get as much time as possible out of my current knee. But when the time comes that I must have the revision, the surgery will be performed by Dr Firestone. He is the best.
