  One of my favorite courses in the valley. Friendly service. Great condition with very fast greens. Fun layout. Lots of tee choices so that you can play any distance you want.

  This course is Troon managed. It's less pricey than other Troon managed courses in the area. Well maintained and a bit out of the way. Easy wide open front nine. The back nine is more challenging. Undulation is quite prevalent in the back.
  
  Great staff, above average golf, in Scottsdale and a pretty good value. There is a lot to like.

  The Club presents an excellent value for mid to high handicap players. Very reasonably priced and by and large, the course was in excellent condition. Fairways and greens were well-groomed. It's also very playable without a lot of forced carryies over transition. The GPS on the golf carts are excellent and make the play flow smoother. The White tees at 5,700+ yards presents a nice challenge for those of us who are not long hitters. The predominance of high power wires around the course impacts the aesthetics and views but that's probably one reason why the greens fees are more than reasonable for a nice Scottsdale golf course. But if you are looking for a nice round of golf and not feel like you are getting beaten up for 4 hours, I'd certainly give McDowell Mountain a try.

  I highly recommend Shanna and her event staff at McDowell Mountain Golf Club. She was so easy to work with to plan the event, even with very short notice. Her staff was very accessible, friendly and so pleasant to work with throughout the entire evening. The Palo Verde Room was the perfect size for a birthday party, has an easy entrance from the parking area and opens up to a charming outdoor area with patio lighting. The views (especially during sunset) of the city are amazing!
