Sweetwater Adult Care

My Father adjusted in just a few short months to this lovely Care-home. We are so grateful for the team that took care of him for the past 6 years. Karina has a heart of gold! Dad was treated with respect, kindness, love and admiration for the care he received. They always made everyone feel like extended family. Its never an easy decision to choose the next level of care for our loved ones, and when my brother and I first walked in to Sweetwater Adult Care, and we saw that it was clean, smelled nice, rooms were spacious and all of the caregivers made you feel welcome, we knew he was in good hands. I am in the healthcare industry, I have visited many homes through-out the valley and I can honestly say that this team of people who operate and care for these homes are in the assisted living business for the right reasons. Trusting where you place a loved one is half the battle when making these decisions. My dad was very well cared for, and I felt confident every time I left my visit. It made my time with him so much more meaningful knowing that others cared about him like he was part their family. It’s my pleasure to provide this review for North Scottsdale Place.

One of the most difficult decisions a child may have to make is how to best take care of a parent when it is no longer safe for them to live alone. When that time came for my Dad, my sister and I began the search for the perfect home for Dad and we found it at North Scottsdale Place.

Dad was a resident here for six years. As a man who did not easily adjust to change, it was a great relief to my sister and I when within a week Dad was comfortable, accepting, and beginning to show happiness with his new home. I cannot say enough about the caregivers of North Scottsdale Place. They are well-qualified for the tasks that they have taken on, and as important—they have a genuine love for the residents and for the work that they do. To say that I slept easier knowing that Dad was being well looked after is an understatement.

I will add that I was in a unique position that I could visit Dad nearly every day that he was a resident at North Scottsdale Place. It did not matter when I showed up – morning, afternoon, or evening – there was consistency. The home is always clean, and the caregivers are always aware of every resident’s needs. If that time comes when you are faced with making the decision, I recommend that you check out Sweetwater Adult Care.

My mother was a resident at North Scottsdale Place for nearly 6 years. Every time I walked into the house, it felt like a real 'home,' often with lunch or dinner cooking. During those challenging years that I could not take care of my mother myself, the Caregivers always made sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. Under Karina's thoughtful supervision (and sometimes direct care), they made certain that her makeup was as she liked, her hair was styled and that she was dressed according to her taste. It was all about her.
They especially provided love and care for her. There was an on-going consistency of care that was greatly valued and appreciated. The professional caregivers were often employed at the residence for years, so my mother had the opportunity to really get to know them. Special thanks to Shelly and Melie who provided endless hours of attention and love. Another person who needs mentioning is Laurie, responsible for resident's activities. Laurie provided fun, appropriate and positive interaction for the residents and made sure to include all who chose to be involved. Lastly, Kevin, the new owner of the facilities, has been very helpful and available in every way.

I came to visit my mother every day and can personally attest to the quality of care she received. I highly recommend North Scottsdale Place, as well as Sweetwater Adult Care for your loved ones.

My Dad is a long time resident at this care home and we are so lucky to have him there. The staff is caring, compassionate and highly professional! Kevin and Karina, the owner and administrator, are very accessible and quick to reply to questions, concerns and requests. I often tell my friends that my Dad is in the best place possible for him and that I couldn't take as good of care of him as the caregivers at Sweetwater do every single day.
