I went to our local Lowe’s for a new dishwasher. We have a large family and I run the dishwasher daily if not a few times a day. We blew through our older washer, it was 7 years old and we had put in a new pump at the 5 year mark.

I decided I wanted a Bosch. I knew it was pricey, but it has a great name for durability and a much larger capacity per load. I had done the research and decided on the Bosch 100 series because the control panel was hidden and it was a step up from our old washer. Sadly, our local Lowe’s was out of stock and had weeks of back orders. We had been without a dishwasher for over a week and I was not happy about it (washing dishes for 8 people takes a lot of time!). The wonderful rep at our local Lowe’s called this outlet store to see if they had one. They didn’t, but had the 300 series at a lower price than the new 100 series. We were out the door and headed there asap.

Upon arrival we were shown the Bosch models. The reps at this store were very helpful, they knew the models and were open and transparent about why they were discounted. It was a great price but had the control panel within little child reach. As we were looking around a 500 series was brought to the floor, just tested and ready to go. It was at the same price as the original 100 series I had wanted, had an even larger capacity and a hidden control panel! Amazing! But keep in mind these items often have a flaw… ours had no box and a small dent on the face edge. Hardly noticeable. They loaded and we took it home ourselves.
