  Joanie is AMAZING!! Not only is she patient, compassionate, and empathetic, she's a fabulous doctor on top of it! What more can you ask for?!?! I'm lucky to have her.
  
  **Update** Joanie has left The Pain Center. I personally will be finding a new pain management doctor the first of next year. I do not click with any other provider here. I also STRONGLY suggest avoiding the Gilbert location. They have a very rude office staff & personally that is something that is very important to me as much of your interactions will be with them. The staff at the Tempe location is MUCH more friendly & helpful.

  I love the staff at Tempe and my pain doc is exceptional, I love her! Joanie my doc is so personable and puts me at ease every time I come to see her. She always explains things to me and I like that, its important. She is honestly the only pain doc that makes me comfortable and shows she cares. 😁

  I think my son's NP Joanie is awesome. She is so knowledgeable, empathetic and personable. My son was impressed at how well she articulates her knowledge about the pathophysiology of the body and why he has the pain he does. She discusses at each visit his plan of care and develops a treatment plan to help him cope with his chronic pain We Thank God we are in such good hands. Tempe location is so refreshing to visit. Staff is absolutely wonderful. 💜

  I have chronic back, leg and neck pain. I was to the point where I started believing I was going to have to just live with it forever. I was not receiving quality care from the clinic where I was previously. That all changed when I came to this location. From the get go Joanie treated me as an individual, not a number. I could see immediately she is intelligent, knowledgeable, insightful and has a unique gift for being able to identify the patients needs- mind, body and soul, so to speak. There is more to chronic pain than the physical part of it. It affects the psyche and emotions as well. She gets that and she treats the patient “as a whole”. I now have a treatment plan that is geared towards my individual needs. Within minutes of my first visit she identified things no one else has and also showed me I have options I didn’t know were available. To top it off, she has a great sense of humor and had me cracking up! I was blown away. For the first time in years I have hope for a better quality of life! I wanted to add that the RN and receptionist were attentive and truly made me feel welcome as well. This is how all pain clinics should operate. If you want exceptional care from an exceptional team, who truly care about you then visit this clinic!

  This Tempe location has been such a Godsend. The Gilbert location is great as well, but for me this location is much more accessible. The staff is awesome; they have a real love for helping people and take the time to know you as a person. Joanie is absolutely amazing, no matter what is going on she can make you feel at ease and have you laughing in no time flat. She takes the time to explain anything you don’t understand and is adamant about making sure you are 100% comfortable with the treatment plan before moving forward. I can not recommend this place enough.
