After spending 10 + years of my life addicted to methamphetamines, sickness and disease, depression and everything else that comes along with the lifestyle of being a drug addict I found myself in the women's home of Phoenix Restoration Church. A place where I was loved, a place I wasn't judged , a place where I was introduced to what it was to have a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. It's been four beautiful blessed years which have been the best years of my life since the day I entered the home. Through Jesus Christ I have been set free from my addictions. The Lord has blessed my life tremendously he has given me opportunities and blessings that only come from above. My life is being restored on a daily basis. I can now be a mother to my daughter. I have myself worth back and I have a beautiful life. I have truly found a hope and a future serving Christ. And not only is this so for myself but for my family as well. I'm very thankful and grateful for all the Lord has done in my life as well as to this ministry of Phoenix Restoration Church. “I am leaving this review based on what ,I have experienced those few times when I have attended the Unity of Sun City without bias ,or judgement. Members of Unity are very nice and welcoming, Cathy is amazing and pleasant person ,she is very attentive and ,dedicated in her role at Unity. Mollie ,the music coordinator , does an amazing job and, she is truly talented and gifted on what she does, so are the other members of the Choir. Reverend Sharon, has an amazing and soothing voice, I believe her messages are uplifting and, inspirational. She is indeed a motivational speaker. What to expect there; all faith are welcomed there, their belief is there is One Power, One creator and the all paths leads to God. They include some Scriptures in their message but, primarily it appears they focus more on the teaching of the Fillmore which are the original founders of Unity. Which makes sense as they are the original founders of Unity, as you notice I am writing this review in past tense as, my belief is that Jesus is "the only Way, the Truth and the Life". To resume my experience at Unity it was a positive one, just because they believe differently than I do ,it does not make them bad people ,on the contrary, they are very nice indeed. Jesus said " I Am the Truth, the Way and the Life" , he did not say the he was just a " Way Shower".”

“My dad (Loyd Jay Spencer) built this church in 1952 with his own hands. He pastored the church until we moved back to Tulsa, OK in 1962. My childhood memories are full of this church. We lived in the parsonage that was attached to the south side. Dad is still in Phoenix. Next time i am in Phoenix, I would love to bring Dad to one of your services.”

“While all Orthodox churches are special, what makes this place particularly stand out is, through the grace of God, Father Christopher and Matushka Natalie. These are two of the most welcoming and kind people you will ever meet. Most importantly, they are prayerful people who love God. Father Christopher is a well-known and experienced priest I first met over a decade ago in Los Angeles. He is prayerful, kind, welcoming, and many faithful come to him for spiritual advice and confession. Matushka Natalie is one of the most generous people I have ever met. She always has a smile and a kind word for people and makes you feel included. When I first met her, I told her how much I liked her prayer rope, and she wanted to give it to me right then and there! She is a wonderful conversationalist--not in the worldly sense, even though she is a lot of fun and has a great sense of humor. Once, she was speaking with me, a friend, and my kids, in front of the church after the service. We talked about something, and while it was friendly and light hearted, it also had a lasting spiritual effect on us. They have been praying and working very hard to make this church a place of prayer and by so many other accounts, a community. There's events and it's very well organized. Come visit.”

“It's a small church, but a welcoming family as well. You will feel very comfortable your first time there. You are welcome to attend all sorts of different events, but never pressured. It is a low-key environment, solely existing to worship God. There are two services. You can come to a contemporary service at 9:30 or a traditional service at 11:00. There is even a Spanish Speaking service at 2:00. The church does not seem to care about grand halls and grand appearances... just cares about worship. All are welcome... Forget to bathe but still want to worship Jesus? Step on over. We will give you a hug even if you smell a bit ripe. :)”

“It was nice visiting a Church that was not a rock concert, no smoke and mirrors, just kind people with a warm welcome. The lights were on as well, so you could actually see everyone, which leads you to feel as if you are not alone! You are with people. I liked the traditional hymns along with some of the contemporary songs, but even so, they were songs that had meaning and a message vs. repudiative phrases that goes on and on. We were visiting from out of country and it was nice to be back in our home country and in a good traditional church, and it just seems that is what our country needs most right now. I’m sure we’ll visit again”

“I went here for a pops concert featuring simply 3, this is a huge campus and very beautiful they had lots of security and staff to help the cathedral itself is amazing, it's easy to get to and has plenty of parking, the seats were clearly labeled and easy to find if you ever have to go here for an event it's a great place.”
