The sermons are always about Jesus, and stick faithfully to the text, to include translation from the original languages and well organized, researched explanations during bible study. Worship follows the vibrant and classic tradition of the Lutheran liturgy, with hymns, prayers, and teaching tailored to each day's Scripture readings.

The Pastors really know Scripture well and the reasons behind everything that goes on in the Service. They welcome questions like "Why does the church do this?" Or "What is the meaning behind this?" And are happy to do the research to provide the right answers.

The congregation is diverse, engaged, welcoming, and well educated both in matters of faith as well as a They joyfully practiced what is preached, living out lives of charity and generosity in their community, working closely with organizations like Operation Barnabas to provide aid for veterans, Hold Fast Fellowship in ministry to students at the University of Arizona, and many others in the community.

Visitors and members leave each service and study refreshed, and filled with reinforced knowledge of God's commands, words, and works. Anyone who visits is sure to receive a warm welcome and accommodation so they feel surrounded by Christian family, whether visiting from another congregation, or trying out church for the first time.

This is a small town, old fashioned, family focus church. It's like the one my Grandmother raised me in. The members are friendly and inclusive, but not all up in your face. The focus is on scripture and the Pastors don't stray from what is said in the Bible.
