Midtown Tavern

I love this place!! Staff is friendly and funny. The drinks are made perfectly every time! Perfect place to hang out with some friends and play pool!

Can't say enough about this place. The bartender was friendly and was always one step ahead of the game. The guy in the back, cooked the food SO perfect! And there was the horse races that a few guys were cheering on in the back room. Haha The food was delicious and the place was clean.. I highly recommend this place if your looking to just kick it and watch some TV with good people 😊

Have been going to this bar for as long as we’ve lived in the area. It feels so great to be a regular somewhere! :D Maddy and Jenna are my absolute superstars — I don’t know that the bar would be without them. Thank you for making us feel so at home ❤️

I moved into an apartment building across the street from Midtown two years ago. I'd migrated from Chicago, so I didn't know anyone here. I went to Midtown and met some friendly patrons and the owner Frank.

I asked about their fried mushrooms, he said they make them fresh in house and gave me two to sample on my dinner plate...the rest was history! I told him that they were battered the same way and tasted like a Chicago chicken place called Brown's Chicken. Everyone went to Brown's for the mushrooms!!!

I have since moved to another apartment building, but when I visit my old neighborhood now I go to Midtown just for the mushrooms. Last night Frank was there, who I haven't seen in awhile. He remembered me and came up to our table to say hello. I thought that was special. This is a comfortable, casual spot to drop in.

They have my favorite beer on tap, it isn't super crowded (at least when I've been there) the service is great AND the grilled cheese sandwich is to die for! Order it with 2 cheeses, add tomato slices and onion with extra bacon. Mouth watering! The bread is extra crunchy but not burnt and so much cheese it just oozes out. Beer is super cold.
