One plus with Arizona’s online state park campground reservation site is being able to book next day sites (most online sites are 48 hours min). We were able to find a last minute site for 1 night in the overflow lot. The bathrooms were clean and the trails fantastic. The hosts were very kind and informative.

(February 8, 2020, 11:50 am)Worth the price of admission! What I love most about this park is the variety of trails. Whether you’re looking for an easy relaxing interpretative trail or a challenging canyon hike this park has it all. I recommend Birding trail for a short relatively easy relaxing hike (stairs both ways in this loop but even with a bad knee a hiking pole makes the stairs easy to tackle). Canyon loop trail for a moderate 45-50min hike with stream crossings and great views and Romero pools for an elevation gaining heart pumping but epic view worth the climb! There’s also a great picnic and parking area for enjoying lunch ? Jan - April best times to visit. Only $7 per car ? less than a cost of a movie with lots more adventure!
