“If you don’t elect for surgery, all a doctor or nurse practitioner will do is prescribe medication based on the severity of your phantom pain attacks. There is no discussion on the cause of the attacks, as doctors simply state that they don’t know. The “Cure,” they say. is the surgery. I was told by one doctor that having refused to undergo surgery, I was choosing to accept phantom pain attacks for the rest of my life, and that all he could do was prescribe medication that would hopefully limit those attacks. After six years of attacks consisting of one-second shocks, I suddenly had an attack consisting of six-second shocks coming at me every twenty seconds for over 36 hours. I wanted to know if this was unique to me, or if there were similar cases my nurse practitioner or my doctor could tell me about. The nurse practitioner said she knew about six-second shock attacks but couldn’t discuss them due to confidentiality issues with her other patients. I had never heard anything so ridiculous in pain therapy, explaining that I was interested only in general information on multi-second attacks—how common they were, and if they would continue. Again she claimed confidentiality issues with her other patients, and clammed up. Naturally, I dropped this young woman, and met with my doctor at the next meeting. He told me he hadn’t a clue how I had gone from having one-second shocks to six-second shocks, that so much was unknown about nerve pain. He was also unable to tell me how common it was for people to develop multi-second shocks—a statistic I felt might be useful to people like him, especially in predicting if patients would continue to have multi-second shock attacks in the future. The more questions I asked, the angrier he seemed to get, so I decided to move on from him too. I feel I will have a much happier relationship with my current nurse practitioner, Angela Marton. She’s very bright; she actually listens, and if she were in her late seventies (like me), I’d ask her out on a date.”

“I love this church. The friendliest people and staff. Worship and music is uplifting and current, and really sets the mood for my God time with others. The teachings by Pastor Toby are always just what I needed to hear and so relevant. I love the fact that they include the community in so many ways, from serving, and assisting people in need through their outreach. Kids ministry is just as amazing, my kids always ask when is Sunday, because they love their classes... and you can also get your yumminess on before or after church at the cafe.. oh and the cookies are great as well”

“100% agreement with the review by Reynaldo Reyes, regarding the friendliness and warmth of Goodwill Ambassador KATHY. I have been going to Goodwill stores since just before Covid started, back in late 2019, and of all the experiences with their customer agents, I have encountered many spectacular Ambassadors, and then there's a few, like KATHY, who are a 12 on a scale of 10. Keep up the good work KATHY, and I'll see you next week.”

“This place helped my brother so much. This was his 3rd rehab center and I felt like there’s no hope for him. The approach here was different. He was treated with dignity and respect and I think that makes all the difference in the world. He has maintained his sobriety with their continued support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

“Fantastic Pizza for a reasonable price. We ordered the New York special that has everything on it. It was cooked perfectly, crust fresh tasting and crisp bottom, lots of ingredients and gooey cheese. You can also order by the slice here and they are huge. They have a lunch special until 4pm one or two slices with a drink. You feel like you're going back in time to authentic New York Pizzeria. Nothing fancy, tables with bench seats, pick order up at counter, can be a little noisy at times as they have quite a few games for kids. They have pretty much stayed the same since 1974.. something to be said for nostalgia. Hence, since it's an old building the Air conditioning is pretty non-existence, but lots of fans. Otherwise Carry out and enjoy it at home.”
