“Ernest's is a small shop set around his house, but I've been taking my little Baja Beetle to his shop since 2004. He's been unfailingly honest and has great pricing. It was only after buying a truck later on and had to deal with other mechanics that I really realized how good I have it with my VW at Volkswerks. He's happiest doing body work, but it's no problem to get a quick oil change or tuneup; it's definitely better to come here for that sort of thing than other places since he actually knows what he's doing, and it'll be cheaper to boot. He also always seems to have an old beater or two he can sell for a grand or so, if you need a cheap ride.”

“This one is located by the Motel. There were plenty of pumps so even if it gets busy there's room for everyone. Going inside, there's a lot of yummy snacks and I also liked the huge selection of drinks too. Everything was well organized. Also, they have a deli in here too where they sell pizza by the slice for $2.99 and wow was I drooling! The pizza smelled so good. Checkout was quick. Just make sure to remember to check you got your change.”

Usually I groan and roll my eyes when places say they'll call me back, but Trent was always timely and returned all of my calls with updates about my car. “Tang is the best mechanic ever. I have a 17 year old BMW 323 with over 205K and a 21 year old suburban and 8 year old BMW X3. I had him go through each one with a fine tooth comb. On my 323, he replaced the suspension components, fuel pump, and serviced all fluids. While in his possession he noticed 2 small coolant leaks which I had been ignoring. He diagnosed and found a plastic pipe that had cracked and if it had completely blown, I would have warped the cylinder head. He just saved my BMW. He effectively replaced all the guts of my suburban including a rebuild of the throttle body, heater, A/C, brakes. What's even more amazing about Tang is that he just knows what to look for. Upon opening the hood of my suburban, he noticed that the alternator had been replaced and was missing some safety caps, a top radiator hose was not the correct one, missing a bolt on the air filter cover and other things. Simply by putting things back correctly, it solved many rattles that I had. Another impressive things that Tang does is take photos and text them to me as he completes the work. Furthermore, he makes notes on the engine to keep track of when things were last changed and when they are due next, what fluids were used, etc. He is honest and fair about price. He's the only person I trust to work on my cars.”
