“We've been waiting months for this place to open, and now that it finally is, we just went for our first meal there. Right off the bat, this location is way too small for the growing area, especially for how busy chipotles usually get. The max occupancy capacity is only 60. There is not a lot of seating for families of 4 or more and practically none for 5 or larger. Also, just a little nit pick, but all the seating is basically on the side where the sun is hitting during the hottest time of the day. Other than all that, the food was good. My wife and I both got chicken burritos, which were nicely filled and tasted very good. Two of our kids shared a kids' meal, and they enjoyed it very much. Our oldest got a bean and cheese burrito and had no complaints.”

“If you are visiting Arizona this is a must stop!! This is my first time back to Colossal Cave since I was kid. The whole family took the Ladder Tour and our Tour Guide Everett was the best!!! The drive down was beautiful. It was very easy to find and had plenty of free parking. The nature trail was short and sweet and it had a gorgeous view. I highly recommend the Ladder Tour for children 12 and up. Everett made the tour so fun and had so much patience for our kids “million questions”. We learned so much and left feeling excited for our next trip back. Thank you Everett and the gift shop attendants for your kindness and help.”

The owner Tom and his wife are two wonderful and amazing owners of this hideaway. “Im going to get right to it. The meat is succulent, with juicy flavor. Not over or undercooked. Everything was cooked to perfection. No exaggeration. Amazing brisket. Well seasoned and tender. Collard greens remind me of home each bite. The lemon pepper hot chicken wings were hot and tasty. The loaded fries with shrimp and brisket had me excited for each bite accompanied by honey sauce. The mac and cheese was great with the meal and the cornbread was a nice filler in the meal. The catfish is the best I’ve ever had (the previous best I had was a great spot in Virginia). The whole menu is going to be something you’ll love.”

Service is also extremely quick, the food will be at your table within 10 minutes of ordering, usually faster. I have always been for breakfast personally but know they are open for lunch and dinner as well. All the breakfast dishes I have ordered have been great so far and the cinnamon roll is especially decadent and delicious. I will be back many times in the future, each time I visit town.”

“Late on Sunday evening and my wife and I were craving hotdogs. Tavo's Hot Dogs and Tacos surprised us with not only great tasting hot dogs but low prices and kind staff. This was a last-minute decision as we sid a search for hot dogs in our area, and Tavo's came up. Tavo's is a food truck that is open on East Apache Blvd just east of Hawes Rd. As the name says, hot dogs and tacos are the fare. I ordered 2 sonoran style hot dogs, and my wife had a plain hot dog with mustard. They were perfect! The buns were lightly toasted but fresh bread buns. Nothing can ruin a hot dog quicker than a stale or old bun. Tavo's doesn't make that mistake. Fresh toasted hot dog buns are perfect. The ingredients inside are even better. The hot dog is made perfect and piping hot. The ingredients on my Sonoran dog included grilled onions, diced tomatoes, whipped guacamole sauce, mustard, and more. Wow. Excellent flavors. It's tasty but not too spicy. Finished off with a fresh grilled jalapeño on the side! A bite of the pepper goes well with a bite of the hot dog, or if you don't want the spice, ignore the grilled jalapeño. The prices were excellent as well. Each hot dog is only $4. Very reasonable! You can get a hot dog with fries for just $7. This little hot dog and taco stand was a blissful little stop . If you get a chance to stop by (Weds through Sunday evening 4pm-9:30pm), do it. You won't regret it!”
