“Walking into Portillo's is a refreshing experience. The open diner speckled with neon signs and big windows into the kitchen creates a laid-back atmosphere. We ordered the Maxwell Street Polish Sausage and the Big Beef sandwich. The hot dog was absolutely perfect, with the signature sausage snap and juicy flavor. The Big Beef was okay, although very dry; I ordered it "dry" (no gravy), which is probably the cause. I would order sandwiches with lots of gravy next time. Portillo's has the best dogs in Tempe and a decent sandwich menu to back up the charge.”

“I have been here two times and found it a place for excellent burritos. We have decided to make this our burrito eating destination. Ordering your meals here are quick and served with a friendly smile. The menu is large and easy to choose with their meals displayed with photos. This place is well lighted and clean with comfortable chairs. It is located on a corner that is easily accessible from any direction. Oh yes before I forget, their food portions are large and I can not imagine any one ever leaving hungry. Try it! You won't regret it!”

“My wife and I both enjoyed the food here. The fries were thin, perfectly-cooked shoestrings with a nice truffle flavor. I liked them with the ketchup but my wife prefers to ask for a small side of garlic aioli, which complements then quite well. We each had the steakhouse burger, my wife with a veggie burger and I with a standard patty. The mix of flavors was very good, and the bite of the steak sauce made it even better. We will be coming back to enjoy more in future.”
