“This place is a real gem. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. The manager informed us that the menu changes about every quarter. I can't wait to try the new menu! This is a MUST visit if you enjoy a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Only one thing I would change is adding a bit more prociutto to the seared scallops next time. We ordered the sunset Arizona drink which was one of THE BEST drinks I have EVER had. I hope to be able to copy it in large quantities at home. We followed that with 2 appetizers of pretzels with beer cheese and the meatballs. Hands down, the flavors of the beer cheese and the meatballs were high end. Our entrees were the seared scallops, obviously, and the house prime rib. The steak could use more seasoning but that is just my opinion. The scallops were seared to perfection and the risotto was cooked perfectly with a hint of saffron on the pallet. Great job Palma Kitchen and Tap! See you again soon! :)”

“First, I don't know why they call this a Mexican restaurant because it isn't. Sure they have some Mexican dishes but they have as many Mediterranean, even Greek, dishes. So don't get the wrong idea. This place is an oasis. After driving on 86 for hours, and still 45 minutes from the crazy Tucson traffic, stop here and chill. Food is standard - and that's not bad. You won't leave excited and you won't leave disappointed. Very clean, fresh paint, not worn or tired. We had delightful service. C'mon, this isn't a destination, it's a backcountry highway stop and for that it is very good.”

“This was the first time trying Vero's (formally Buddyz). We visited Buddyz several times at other locations. The dough is different than before. I have to say the pizzas are not as good as they once were. Buddyz was hands down the best Chicago style deep dish I have ever had. I can no longer say that statement holds true. The pizza is still good but no longer the best I've ever had. I was also alittle disappointed my pizzas were made wrong. I ordered a 2 topping deep dish half and half. All the toppings were on one side and the other was only cheese. This new location is a lot nicer as far as setup and decor. They even have a nice little patio setup for outside dining. For the customer who likes to have a drink and dine at the bar, they have a great setup filled with tvs to catch your favorite sporting event. Update: I understand pizzas may differ depending on whom may be preparing them. I appreciate Josh reaching out to me to go over my experience. I have to say I truly appreciate the concern and have to give them 5 stars for great customer service. I look forward to my next visit to Arizona to give Vero Pizza another try!”

“Vito’s is very close to our home so I’m a little embarrassed to say, last night was our first time dining in at the Gilbert location. My first impression was the decor was not too impressive. It reminds me of a chain restaurant and seemed almost sterile. I didn’t care for the lighting, either. My husband and I chose to eat at the bar and the two bartenders were very friendly and both took the time to go over some of their favorite dishes on the menu. We started with a garlic knots appetizer. It came out piping hot and they were just the right amount of garlic and butter with the marinara for dipping. For dinner we shared a 12” Siciliano served with half the spicy marinara it comes with and half Sunset Sauce which is their version of a vodka sauce. The other dish we shared was the Tortellini Sunrise with chicken we added. The dishes were (again) hot and delicious! We were impressed with the service and food so if atmosphere isn’t a big deal to you, we recommend Vito’s. We will definitely go back…sooner than later, for the great dishes!”

“This Serrano's gets gluten free. This means their kitchen is clean and under control enough to allow them to separate any and all food that contains wheat (and other gluten containing ingredients) from selected food that needs to be completely free of contamination. Great food, great service. This is my favorite celiac-safe Mexican food place. Love, love the fajitas! Edit June 2022: All of the sauces here are gluten free, the meat is gluten free, the rice and beans are gluten free. The fajitas are still amazing but now I can have enchiladas or tamales. Serrano's is still one of my absolute favorites even though there are some other safe Mexican food choices in the area.”

“First visit on a Sunday afternoon for child’s birthday party. We all had a great time. The food (pizza, fries, hot dogs, sliders) was excellent & served at proper temperature. The establishment was well staffed and employees were diligent in their job duties. Our server was welcoming, knowledgeable, & she spoke clear, articulate English. I would give it 5 starts but if I’m being honest it’s in a bad area, and by that I mean the neighborhood does not appreciate this place enough. I walked in and there was a couple people eating, as soon as I walk in they look at me as if they’ve never seen a brown person in there life. Already feeling uncomfortable I go up to order and I hear the lady ordering say “do they have to talk Spanish back there” in regards to the people cooking her food.I’m Mexican and can understand that they’re not saying anything about her just telling each other the orders and regular kitchen communication. Already not even having ordered I felt a heavy prejudice feeling here. This restaurant is great but based off this one experience I feel the community doesn’t deserve them. Keep doing great things! I hope the people of the community learn to be a bit more grateful. PS I’m not saying anyone was being racist, but these type of comments and stares really give off a prejudice vibe and makes for a very uncomfortable atmosphere.”
