“What a great place! The owner George is such a wonderful, kind person. Been patronizing his establishment for about 5 years now. We actually look forward to running out of water to make our visit, have some laughs and see our buddy George. As for George's yummy Thrifty Ice Cream Bar up front....Brings me back a bit to grade school days in California. I would ride my schwinn cruiser up to our local Thrifty to treat myself to a scoop or two of ice cream on a sugar cone. Sadly, to no avail on this particular beautiful sunny day, got back on my bike and the perfect scoop fell off the cone straight to the asphalt in the parking lot. Boo! So, I actually took my embarassed self back inside to the ice cream counter with the most depressed, saddened look on my face. Hoping for that one sympathetic manager that perhaps could identify, Lol! Simpler times, the manager of the store actually had the heart to kindly give me another. The reason in sharing this story, is that George reminds me in ways of that store manager back in the day. Always, genuine, giving and kind to all his customers and it really serves as a great example to all people out there that we can change a persons day in a good way and give out positive energy.
